ABOUT OUR SPONSORSHIP
Our title sponsorship began in September
2006 and since then the Johnstone’s Paint
Trophy has given sides from the Football
League the chance to experience the highs
and lows of a classic knock-out tournament.
As a result, fans from across the country now have colourful
memories from the beautiful game thanks to Johnstone’s.
The tournament features all 48 clubs from League One and
League Two and is split into northern and southern regional
sections – creating a pot full of spine-tingling derbies.
Each Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Season culminates with
a final hosted at Wembley Stadium, an event which firmly

FLAME RETARDANT PRODUCTS
To simplify the specification process and
reduce the uncertainty surrounding paint
for redecoration over existing paint
coatings, Johnstone’s offers two Flame
Retardant Systems.
The Flame Retardant Top Coats including Durable Matt
and Acrylic Eggshell are to be applied as a minimum of a
two coat system and are designed to inhibit the spread
of flame. Both products are ideal for application onto new
unpainted surfaces as well as for painting over sound
existing coatings with up to 10 like for like paint layers,
maintaining a surface at Class 1 or Class 0.
The Intumescent Upgrade System is one of only a few
complete solutions on the market today, which has been
specifically formulated and fully tested in accordance with
BS476 Parts 6&7. The 4 coat system allows surfaces to
be upgraded from the worst case Class 4 substrate to the
highest specification for surface spread of flame and fire
propagation, Class 0, providing that the existing substrate
is sound for redecoration.

Johnstone’s range of Stormshield exterior
paints have been developed for undertaking
the arduous job of protecting the exterior
of buildings.
The key requirement of an exterior coating is to provide a
long lasting protective barrier to preserve the surface
against the harshest of conditions.
All kinds of pollution contribute to the deterioration of
building exteriors, causing irreversible damage to the
surface. Johnstone’s Stormshield paints have been
formulated to protect against:
■ UV light
■ Dirt accumulation
■ Mould and algae
Many products in the Johnstone’s Stormshield range
have BBA (British Board of Agrément) approval. Trim and
broadwall products carrying the BBA logo have undergone
rigorous independent testing and have been awarded life
expectancies of more than 8, 10 or 15 years.
