OUR ADOPTION PROFILE
We are Anthony and Mariana from New Jersey and we
want to thank you for taking the time to learn more
about us. We would like to start by thanking you for
your brave and courageous decision to consider
adoption. We know that you only want what is best for
your child and we respect your desire to find the right
family to love and cherish your baby. We are also very
thankful that you are considering us as possible
adoptive parents. Though we cannot begin to know all
that you may be going through right now, we truly
appreciate your display of tremendous love and courage
in this decision. As an adopted child myself (Mariana), I
know firsthand what it is like to be adopted and I
cannot wait to share my own positive experiences with
your child. We promise that your baby will be loved,
protected, celebrated and will be surrounded by family,
friends and a community who will always celebrate and
love him/her unconditionally.
We hope that this profile will give you a glimpse of who
we are and who we hope to be as parents.
Our Beginning
We were both fortunate enough to be raised by loving and
supportive parents that cared, guided and encouraged us
growing up. Anthony is 37 years old and was born and
raised in New York. He is of Chinese, Italian and Greek
descent and is the oldest of 3 siblings. I, Mariana am 38
years old and was born in Uruguay but have lived in
numerous countries such as Argentina, Venezuela and also
in Iowa and Puerto Rico. I am of Hispanic descent and my
first language is Spanish (no aprendí a hablar inglés hasta
los 8 años de edad).
Although we lived worlds apart growing up, our paths
crossed in 2004 while we both worked in the same town in
New Jersey. After our first couple of dates we knew we
couldn't live without each other. Three years later Anthony
proposed and we were married in September 2009.
Our Life Together
We have been married for almost six years and are looking
forward to many more to come. We enjoy being together and
are grateful for the experiences we have had. Taking vacations
is one of our favorite things to do and we take them as much
as possible. One of our favorite places to visit is the Riviera
Maya in Mexico. We went there for the first time during our
honeymoon and since then we have returned four times!

Why we are
choosing Adoption
We always knew we wanted children and have tried to get
pregnant since 2010. Although infertility was hard news to
deal with, Anthony and I believe adoption is our plan and we
are excited about it! As I was adopted as an infant myself,
adoption is something I have lived with all of my life. My
parents chose to tell me I was adopted at a very young age
and it has been a very positive experience for me, something
I can relate and share with the child we adopt.
We would describe you to your child in a respectful and loving
light because of the choice you are making. We will send
updates and pictures of your child as long as you desire and
will always respect your privacy.

About Mariana

Mariana is full of compassion and loves unconditionally.
She is truly authentic and one of kind. I fell in love with
Mariana’s down to earth nature with just a little bit of Latin
flare. As a couple, the chemistry in our relationship works
just brilliantly to bring out the best in each other. I trust her
with my heart and my life and am I am lucky that she chose
me. Mariana is a swimmer, loves the beach, is a party
planner, has a knack for arts and crafts and is a gifted baker.
Her specialty is her cupcakes, which often steal the show at
our dinner parties and holiday events. Also an animal lover,
Mariana spoils our dog Chico as his personal chef.
MARIANA AS A NEW MOMMY
Children are drawn to Mariana. Even those little ones that
have met her for the first time inevitably find themselves
curled up in her lap by the end of the day. Mariana is so
full of love and has such a nurturing personality that I
know she will make a wonderful mother.
For the past 12 years, Mariana has been working for a
non-profit organization helping people who are disabled or
facing hardship with their legal needs. Mariana finds her job
very fulfilling because of the opportunities she has to give
back to society and to help many who are unable to help
themselves through difficult times in their lives.
About Anthony

It’s hard to put into words all that Anthony is to me. He is a
wonderful husband and he is my best friend! He does
everything with the spirit of excellence and always excels in
everything he puts his mind and hands to. He is someone I can
count on when times are tough and celebrate with when good
news comes our way. Although he has a serious side to him,
Anthony is a kid at heart and enjoys playing as much as the
kids do! He enjoys martial arts and has a black belt in both
karate and jiu jitsu and also studies judo. He loves being
outdoors. Anthony grew up playing baseball, but would rather
play golf these days. He enjoys watching football and baseball
with his friends. He also likes to play with our rescued dog
Chico. They play fetch and Anthony takes him for walks every
day or drives him to doggie day camp.
Anthony is one of the smartest people I know. He is very
dedicated to his career as an attorney. He takes providing for
his family very seriously and is ready to provide for our new
little one as well. He enjoys his career of 10 years and has
been a very successful attorney at the law firm he works for.
Although he is also the hardest worker I know, he makes family
time a priority.
ANTHONY AS A NEW DADDY
Anthony absolutely adores children! He is truly a
favorite playmate of many of our friends’ kids and his
little cousins. He truly is an amazing man and I know
he will be a great Dad too.
Parenting
Parenting is something we are ready to experience. We believe
that there must be a balance between discipline and fun. We
will structure a loving home that teaches our child to be
respectful and compassionate towards others, but also a true
individual that believes in themselves.
VISITING WITH OUR FRIEND ’ S CHILDREN
We will tell our child about their adoption when it is appropriate depending on their age and maturity. It will always be an
open topic of discussion in our home, especially as we would
like our first child to eventually have a younger sibling. Being
that Mariana is adopted, both our families know the good
things adoption can bring into our lives.

We live in a family oriented neighborhood with gorgeous
trees and lovely streets where people are always walking
and biking. It is a very safe and secure neighborhood and
city where schools are very good and crime is very low.
There are many parks nearby with playgrounds. Within a
short driving distance you can find great apple picking
farms, hiking and indoor activity areas such as ice skating.
MARIANA WITH HER PARENTS

Family is very important to both of us and we love
to spend a lot of time with them. Anthony's
parents live about 45 minutes from us. Anthony
has two younger twin siblings who both live
within an hour from us. Mariana’s parents live
downstairs in our home in their own 2 bedroom

apartment which has a separate entrance. Mariana
is an only child but she has lots of cousins that
live in Brazil, Mexico and Uruguay! There is no
doubt that this being the first baby in the family,
this child will be adored and will receive lots and
lots of love and attention from all the
grandparents, aunt, uncle, and friends!
