WOW air to expand U.S services
High demand for WOW air‘s international service from Baltimore/
Washington International Thurgood
Marshall Airport (BWI) to Iceland has
driven the ultra-low-cost Icelandic air
carrier to expand its service from BWI.
WOW air will now offer daily flight
service from BWI to Iceland (KEF).
Since WOW air’s launch from BWI last
May, fares from the Baltimore/Washington area to Iceland have declined
on average by 36%. “Our bookings
to and from BWI have far exceeded
what we anticipated,” said Skúli Mogensen, WOW air’s founder and CEO.
“Ticket sales have been extremely
successful. We’re thrilled to offer our

In 2015, ATR obtained certifications for two new cabin models of the ATR
72-600: the “High Density” cabin, which brings the maximum capacity to 78
seats, and the “Cargo Flex” cabin, which combines 44 passenger seats with

of ATR’s strategy of continuing to improve its range of products to retain its
leading position in the choices of regional airlines.
ATR’s environmental commitment took a step forward in 2015 with the
participation in the first flight test campaign of the European Clean Sky

to reduce the weight and the fuel consumption of the aircraft. In 2016, a
second series of test flights will take place to test new systems for reducing
energy dispersion.

EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defense sectors, has
successfully completed a Critical Design Review

project to enter into the manufacturing phase.
EDM announced a major contract from Cathay Pacific in September last year to provide the airline
