CALVARY CHAPEL
NAIROBI
AN OUTREACH OF FAR REACHING MINISTRIES
Partners
As Christians we are called to go out into the entire world and share the Good News and to make disciples
of men. Calvary Chapel Nairobi (CCN) has been equipping the saints and teaching them the Word of God since July
2005. There is a spiritual battle being waged in Nairobi for the souls of Kenyans; as many false prophets, prosperity
teachers, witchdoctors and greedy men are fleecing the church body for money and are misrepresenting the
name of Christ. CC Nairobi has been teaching the Word of God verse-by-verse so that all who attend may know
the truth as well as grow in God’s hope and grace.
Our church is located on the edge of the Ngando slum, and our congregation is mostly made up of people from
Ngando or neighboring slums. Although these individuals live in poverty, they are faithfully committed to following
the Lord and learning His Word. CCN has been committed to building and equipping this body for nine years and
God has gifted the members greatly, developing and using them as ministry leaders, Pastors, Elders, Deacons,
Church-Planters, Children’s ministry teachers, Bible college teachers, and much more. The Lord is using the
church to give His members a place to study the Word, take Bible College classes, fellowship, worship, pray and
receive encouragement close to home.
The vision of Calvary Chapel Nairobi is to fulfill Ephesians 4:12-16:
To equip the saints for service and the work of the Ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ till we all come to
the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the
fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all
things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint
supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the
edifying of itself in love.
As well as ministering to those in need in Nairobi, CCN has been involved in the planting of churches in other areas
of Kenya such as: Calvary Chapel Mombasa, Calvary Chapel Kangemi and CCN also has planted a church in the
Democratic Republic of Congo: Calvary Chapel Baraka. Each year the church leadership and pastors go out to
several different areas to teach and reach out in missions to other areas and countries. The church also has a
Calvary Chapel Bible College affiliate school in the church building where students can attend and receive a
Degree in Theology.
Due to the poverty of the congregation and sponsor transitions, we have come to a place where the church is in
need of financial support to remain serving in the same building and area. We request that you prayerfully consider
partnering with us to meet some portion of the total monthly rent need of $2060.00. It is not that we ask for
ourselves but for the ability to continue serving a growing, fruit-bearing body of believers who are realizing the
vision stated in Ephesians 4:11-16, to the Glory of God.
