The front and rear aprons accentuate the powerful and dynamic appearance
of the BMW X3. The kits are rounded off by an attractive trim for the tailgate.

5 Bmw Junior seat i-ii
The BMW Junior Seat I–II with height and tilt adjustable backrest and restraint
cushion is an ideal solution for children between nine and 25 kg (body weight),
equating to approximately nine months to seven years. The restraint cushion
offers ideal protection for children from nine months up to approx. four years:
it reduces the impact of the forces acting on the cervical spine in the event of
an accident. For children with a body weight in excess of 18 kg or approx. four
years, the restraint cushion is no longer used. Your child is then secured using
the vehicle seat belt. The BMW Junior Seat I–II is also available with ISOFIX.*
As required by law, ISOFIX is only approved for children up to 18 kg.
6 sunglasses case
With BMW wordmark. Can be easily attached to convenient locations such as
the sun visor or grab handles.

requirement, not a maximum one. Which is why
BMW child seats go far
beyond even the tough
specifications of the ECE44/04 safety standard,
to ensure that younger
passengers can enjoy the
best possible protection.
Take for example crash tests. BMW doesn’t just
carry out the mandatory frontal impact testing;
in addition, it also subjects all Genuine BMW child
seats to simulated side barrier impacts, with
collision speeds of up to 30mph. The design is
then modified based on the results.

And these are just two of a whole battery of tests,
ensuring that BMW child restraint systems offer
maximum safety in every situation.

1 Bmw advanced dvd system
Consists of two seven-inch colour monitors built into the front seat backs, two
cordless stereo headphone sets, two infrared remote controls and a six-slot
multimedia changer built into the luggage compartment. An AV socket also
supports the connection of devices such as games consoles. The tilting monitors
provide a brilliant picture; they are non-reflective from every angle and can also be
operated independently of one another. Additional functionality, available as an
option, allows audio to be output through the BMW radio loudspeakers. The BMW
Advanced DVD system is also available for vehicles with comfort seats and/or a
factory-fitted DVD system preparation in the rear.
2 ipod* interface
Enjoy your favourite music on the road. The interface connects the iPod directly to
your vehicle’s audio system, allowing you to select five individual playlists – as well
as functions such as skip track and shuffle – by quickly and easily using the BMW
radio or the multi-function steering wheel. The iPod is stored in the glovebox, and
the battery is charged during playback through the vehicle’s electrical system.**

3 Bluetooth® headset
The BMW Bluetooth® headset offers the perfect balance of elegant style, lightweight
comfort and leading-edge technology. An ideal solution to hands-free phone calls for
BMW X3 vehicles without the Bluetooth option.
4 rear view camera
Ensures maximum safety when reversing. When reverse gear is selected, a
131-degree wide-angle camera in the luggage compartment lid starts filming the area
behind the vehicle. The feed from the camera is shown on the on-board monitor.

5 universal dvd system
Consists of two portable seven inch monitors, plus two holders that are attached to
the headrest support bars. The DVD system is plugged in to the vehicle’s 12 Volt
power socket. The DVD player, which is integrated into one of the monitors, can play
video DVDs, and photo and audio CDs (including MP3 format). In addition, JPEG
images and music files on USB sticks and memory cards of various formats can be
viewed or listened to. Audio playback is via either the monitors’ built-in loudspeakers,
or headphones such as the infrared stereo headphones (optional) from BMW.

using a model-specific mounting. They go far deeper than their stylish looks; the devices also
undergo extensive crash testing to ensure they fulfil the strictest safety standards. So now you
can enjoy all the benefits of a portable navigation device, without foregoing the BMW quality
you’ve come to expect.

1 Bmw portable navigation system plus
Designed to integrate seamlessly with your BMW and eliminates the problem
of unsightly trailing wires. Fits in your pocket, and designed for use both in and
outside the vehicle. The high-resolution 4.3-inch touch screen display offers
2D and 3D map views. The BMW Portable Navigation System Plus is also
packed with features such as maps covering 33 European countries supplied
on SD card, a built-in TMC traffic receiver with free lifetime subscription,
Bluetooth® functionality, a USB connection and an MP3 player.
The navigation device is mounted on a tray that replaces the storage
compartment in the instrument panel. This allows the device to be recharged.
2 Bmw portable navigation system pro
In addition to the BMW Portable Navigation System Plus, the Pro unit
includes pre-installed maps covering 33 European countries as well
as speech recognition and a separate steering wheel mounted remote
control to activate the speech recognition function.

3 Garmin nüvi 1250 portable navigation
The device features a sleek and slim design with a large, bright 3.5-inch
display, 3D automatic routing and turn-by-turn spoken instructions.
Pre-installed with regional mapping (Europe) and full UK postal code search.
The device is fully portable with vehicle suction cup mount (not integrated).

This on-going programme includes the advancement of anti-theft devices for your vehicle. If your vehicle already has security equipment, it is likely
that BMW’s additional security can up-grade the factory-fitted system you presently rely on. This includes the availability of the ultimate vehicle
recovery system, BMW Trackstar, which is now able to locate vehicles anywhere in the UK or mainland Europe.* The stolen vehicle recovery
systems may entitle you to a reduction in your vehicle insurance premiums. Please contact your local BMW Dealer for further information.
Bmw trackstar**
BMW Trackstar is a small covert electronic device installed in your vehicle which utilises state of the
art technology such as GPS, GSM and an integrated motion detector in order to accurately locate
your vehicle should it be stolen. Whether you report a theft or the Trackstar Control Room contact
you to advise you of possible illegal movement, the unit is activated and tracking can commence.
BMW Trackstar attracts full Thatcham Quality Accreditation (TQA).
Bmw trackstar 5**
The BMW Trackstar 5 unit operates in the same way as the BMW Trackstar unit and incorporates the
added benefit of a Driver Authentication Device. If the device is present the BMW Trackstar 5 unit can
detect if the person driving the vehicle is authorised to do so.
BMW Trackstar 5 attracts full Thatcham Category 5 Accreditation.
Bmw smartnav**
Vehicles with BMW Trackstar installed have the option to upgrade to include BMW Smartnav. BMW
Smartnav will guide you intelligently, avoiding traffic jams, hold-ups and all kinds of other frustrations.
Much more that satellite navigation:
• Quarterly map updates automatically downloaded, so the latest information is always being used
• Warning when approaching, driving within or leaving the London Congestion Charging Zone

1 Bicycle holder for trailer tow hitch, lockable
The bicycle holder and bicycles are secured against theft. For carrying one
or two bicycles. An extension set for a third bicycle is available separately.
2 interior bicycle holder
One or two bikes can be fastened securely to the lashing rails in the luggage
compartment with a special anti-theft attachment kit for safe transportation.

Maximum permissible roof load: 75 kg. The support bars are made of highstrength aluminium tubing and are fastened to the roof rails. The BMW base
support system is equipped with an anti-theft feature and complies with the
most stringent safety requirements.

Features anti-theft triple central locking on both sides for additional peace

The more comprehensive the testing, the better the results. Traditionally, only front crash
testing is carried out on roof boxes, but at the BMW Research and Innovation Centre, they
are subjected to side and rear impact testing as well – the only facility in the world where
this takes place. And that’s not all. They also undergo climate and impact strength tests
and corrosion testing over many days in a salt-spray chamber.
