task for designers and architects.
Crossville’s extensive line of exterior
cladding products offer architects
and designers a beautiful defense
against the daily demands buildings
encounter. With a wide range of
colors, sizes and textures, not to
mention installation solutions,

looks great day after day.
But a building not only
has to look good, today
it needs to be smart.

the air of harmful
nitrogen oxides as
well as save energy.

Unique Features
Cross-Sheen™ by Crossville
Cross-Sheen™ Finish
Cross-Sheen™ by Crossville
is a permanent, integrated
finish that makes tile
impervious to graffiti from
markers and spray paint,
as well as scuffs and stains.

Hydrotect™ by Crossville
Hydrotect by Crossville’s
revolutionary invisible
coating harnesses the power
of light, water, and oxygen
to create the best defense
against dirt and pollution.
Whether indoors or out,
floors and walls stay cleaner, providing
a superior experience in any space. For
complete details check our website at
CrossvilleInc.com.
Imagine an exterior facade that cleans
naturally with water, saving you
maintenance costs. Unlike most surfaces,
Hydrotect by Crossville coating is
hydrophilic so it attracts water molecules
that form a fine film on the tile. The film
reduces adhesion of dust particles and
helps stop oily dirt from sticking. Even
without water, the surface’s anti-static
properties resists dirt and other fine
particles. Hydrotect by Crossville also
degrades algae so it cleans naturally
without toxic chemicals that can harm
the environment.
Hydrotect by Crossville purifies exterior
air by reducing greenhouse gases,
environmental pollutants and volatile
organic compounds. When exterior walls
coated with Hydrotect by Crossville
are exposed to light, nitrogen oxides
produced by exhaust fumes and smoke
break down into harmless nitrates. In
fact, a 10,000-square-foot area of tiles
can clean the air as effectively as 70
deciduous trees or green space the size
of four tennis courts.

Cleaner.
Resists and reduces adhesion of dust particles, oil and dirt.
Dust
and other
particles
Photocatalyst layer
Because the surface carries
no electric charge, it reduces
the adhesion of dust and
other particles.
Greener.
Oily dirt
Activated oxygen
Activated oxygen repels
dirt clinging to the surface
and helps prevent it from
sticking.
The surface acts like a water
magnet attracting water that
gets under dirt and washes
it away.
Decreases greenhouse gases and other environmental pollutants.
When exposed to sunlight, Hydrotect on the
surface of exterior walls removes nitrogen
oxides produced by exhaust fumes and smoke,
and purifies the air.
For interiors, Hydrotect can reduce harmful
VOCs, such as formaldehyde. Hydrotect can also
minimize bathroom and kitchen odors to improve
indoor air quality.

maintenance practices.
