He captured his experience through drawings and a series titled Images from a Locked Ward, a portfolio of fourteen etchings and lithographs. In a New York Times article, John Canaday wrote, “These lost souls have the terrible anonymity of individuals who cannot be reached, whose ugly physical presence is only the symptom of a tragic spiritual isolation.” $400-600 N.B.
