ACT PARK
ACT Park is located on 4th Avenue NE and
Ashford Street and it is connected
to the Chinook Parkway. This park is
unique as it offers a full wheelchair
accessible experience. This parks other
features are North Hill outdoor rink,
washroom facilities, a fully enclosed
heated shelter area for the outdoor rink, a full sized
asphalt basketball court, a play area, a
wheelchair accessible swing, a creative wheelchair
accessible play structure and a state of the art spray
park.

The City of Swift Current,
Community Services Division
strives to provide scenic open
spaces where you can
experience any recreational
activity. Throughout the various
parks in the City you will find
something to do for any
occasion, whether it be playing on
the play structures and in the spray parks or lazing around within the gigantic trees for a
picnic. The parks also provide open space where you can get together with family and
friends to play football, frisbee or fly a kite.
If you are looking for a more formal activity located throughout the city parks you will
find numerous amenities to utilize including:

ELMWOOD PARK

Elmwood Park, one of the City’s oldest parks,
is situated next to the Swift Current Creek,
along the Chinook Parkway, on the corner of
Chaplin Street and 9th Avenue North E.
The stately trees in Elmwood Park create a nice
canopy of shade in the large green space
located in the park. This is a perfect location
for picnics or other social gatherings.
The play area located on north west side of the
park contains a set of swings, a teeter
totter, a slide, and climbing apparatus.
Washroom facilities and a parking lot are also
located on the premises. Elmwood Park is home
to the City's only Outdoor Fitness Park, which
offers 13 stations that provide cardio and core
strength training and designed for those over
the age of 12. This permanent, drop-in facility
is open daily and free of charge.
HIGHLAND
PARK
Highland Park, located on Maxwell
Drive, is one of the many parks located
in the trail subdivision of Swift Current.
The park is home to Perry Field, a
regulation-size soccer pitch measuring
110 feet by 65 feet; Highland Field, a full
size football field which is 150 feet by 65 feet and a half field 65 feet by 30 feet, an outdoor
rink and an asphalt-base basketball court.
Highland Park is also home to a large play structure and a spray park.
There are washroom facilities on the premises.
KINSMEN
(KIN) PARK
Kin Park's play structure has a Planes,
Trains and Automobiles theme.
Located along Bell Street in the
northeast area of Swift Current, this
park includes a large, open green
space, a creative and fun play structure
with traditional play equipment
(such as swings) and a unique and
modern flower splash pad.
There is a washroom facility, picnic
areas, and ample parking.
RIVERDENE PARK
Riverdene Park is located on Riverdene Park Drive
(just off of North Hill Drive).
This park is home to a ball diamond, Riverdene
outdoor rink, eight horseshoe pits, and picnic
areas. Nestled along the Chinook Parkway, the
park also features public restrooms and plenty of
parking.
Another main feature of this park is the Kiwanis
Sk8 Park. This 10,000 square foot Street Style Park
is available for skateboarding, BMX, rollerblading and long boarding.
Riverside Park is located just off of 6th Avenue SE
on the Chinook Parkway.
This is one of the largest and most versatile parks
in Swift Current. It contains a wide array of
athletic and recreational facilities, including a 400
meter oval track, a soccer/football field, a spray
park, a play structure, six tennis/pickleball courts
(one area with two lighted courts and another
with four courts) and an ice cream shack.
Picnic facilities, power outlets, washrooms, and a
parking lot are conveniently located in Riverside Park.
A large green space populated with a variety of mature trees creates a lovely canopy of shade.
SAULTEAUX PARK
The very large Saulteaux Park is located on Cypress
Drive in the trail subdivision on the north side of
Swift Current. The park contains a variety of
features including a play structure, a spray park, a
basketball hoop and a large green space.
Public restrooms and a parking lot are
conveniently located on the south side of the park.

WESTSIDE PARK
Westside Park is located between 2nd and 3rd Avenue NW on Herbert
Street W. This is a quiet, relaxing park home to a play structure, an
outdoor rink,
two tennis courts
with lights, a
picnic area and
washroom
facilities.

DOG
PARK
The Swift Current Off-leash Dog Park
is a large, safe outdoor space where
dogs are able to roam, run and play.
Located on the east side of Highway
No. 4 at the end of Hillcrest Drive, the
dog park is available thanks to the
generous support of donors, volunteers and the City of Swift Current. To help in the further development
of the dog park, volunteers are welcome to assist with planning, fundraising and upkeep. Maintenance
and future development of the dog park depends on donations for which a charitable receipt will be
received. Please enjoy the dog park and if you are able, support the future happiness of all of our dogs
through the continued development of the dog park.
To donate:
1) Donations via cheque must be made out to City of Swift Current. Mark in the memo line that the
donation is for the Dog Park.
2) Donations can also be made with cash. Please ensure to indicate that the donation is for the Dog Park.
3) Provide information including name and mailing address on where to send a charitable receipt.
4) Drop donations off at City Hall or mail them to PO Box 340, Swift Current, SK S9H 3W1.

KINETIC PARK
Kinetic Park is a unique park with many multi-purpose
facilities for any event. Kinetic Park is made up of a
partnership between the City of Swift Current and the
Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association. The
City of Swift Current, Community Services maintains and
operates these facilities while Swift Current Ag & Ex
continues to operate as a non-profit board and coordinates
special events.
Kinetic Park is also home to the Mennonite Heritage
Village, Doc’s Town and Speedy Creek Racing Association.

OTS PAVILION
Recreation Facilities
The OTS Pavilion is an awesome location for
those family get-togethers or to host that staff
BBQ. Located behind the Chinook Golf Course
at the end of 18th Avenue SE, this log cabin
style building hosts a camp stove, fire place,
running water, washrooms and power. With an
open area for camping and games, this spot will
be a hit no matter what the occasion.
The OTS Pavilion is available for rental generally
from the May long weekend to the September
long weekend. Rentals can be made by calling
Community Services at (306) 778-2787.

CREDIT UNION
I-PLEX
The Credit Union i-plex is located at 2001 Chaplin Street E. It is
home to two ice surfaces, an arena surface of 200 feet by 85 feet
and a curling surface with six sheets of ice. The building is home
to the WHL Swift Current Broncos, AAA Midget Legionnaire’s
Hockey Club, Swift Current Curling Club and the City’s own
Redneck Betties Roller Derby team. This building also plays home
to a variety of events throughout the year such as the Shrine
Circus, Cody Schneider Professional Bull Riding and new in 2016
the Canadian Cowboy
Association Rodeo Finals.
Also located in the Credit
Union i-plex is the
Auditorium and Lounge
which cater to banquets, weddings, dances and are also
used as meeting rooms. Equipped with a kitchen, PA
system, podium, table and chairs events can be held here
for a possible capacity of 400 people.

SASKATCHEWAN
HOCKEY HALL OF FAME
Located in the Credit Union i-plex, the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall
of Fame was opened in 2011 and is home to many displays and
information regarding the inductees and the history of hockey in
Saskatchewan.
Hours of operation for the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame
include Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 - 5:30 p.m. and during
Swift Current Broncos game nights and select Swift Current Minor
Hockey tournaments.
The Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame can also be rented for
private functions. For tours and off hour viewing, please call

FAIRVIEW ARENAS
Two ice surfaces are located at Fairview Arenas
located at 101 Hayes Drive. Fairview West
Arena has a concrete base with an ice surface
of 200 feet by 85 feet and Fairview East Arena
has a sand base with an ice surface of 185 feet
by 85 feet. Fairview Arenas are also home to
the AAA Midget Wildcats and Swift Current
Lacrosse Association.
Community Services is pleased to announce
the public skating schedule that will be in
place for the 2015/2016 season. Regularly
scheduled times have been set aside for
anyone interested in public skating at the
Credit Union i-plex or the Fairview Arenas.
Public skating will begin on Tuesday, October
13, 2015 and is FREE for all.
A special thanks goes out to the Elks Lodge
#8 for sponsoring the weekend
public skating times.
