I have received a resignation. The following motion needs to be approved on Monday evening:
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education accept, with regret, the resignation of R.
James Boyle as a part-time (.33) 7th grade Football Coach at Kaneland Harter Middle
School, effective at the end of the 2013-2014 school year.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education accept, with regret, the resignation of
Carleen Gregg as a Co-Sponsor of the Art Club at Kaneland High School, effective
August 26, 2014.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education accept, with regret, the resignation of R.
Scott Pozen as a part-time (.33) 7th grade Football Coach at Kaneland Harter Middle
School, effective at the end of the 2013-2014 school year.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education accept, with regret, the resignation of
Cassandra Rowe as a Dishwasher at Kaneland Harter Middle School, effective August
20, 2014.
I have received recommendations for employment and/or re-assignment of staff members and a
request for a leave of absence. The following motions need to be approved on Monday evening:
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Rebecca
Andersen as a half-time (.5) Team Leader Exploratory at Kaneland Harter Middle
School for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Eric Baron, at a stipend amount of
$993.50.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Penny
Bergstrom as the 6th Grade White Team Leader at Kaneland Harter Middle School for
the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Raney Good, at a stipend amount of $1,987.00.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Jessica Cielak as
the National Honor Society Advisor at Kaneland High School for the 2014-2015 school year,

replacing James Horne, with a stipend amount of $1,232.00 (pending KEA contract
settlement).
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Amanda Dekker
as Color Guard Sponsor for the Fall and Winter Seasons of the 2014-2015 school year at
Kaneland High School with a stipend amount of $3,490.00 per season, for a total of
$6,980.00 (pending KEA contract settlement).
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Kelsey Flanagan
as an Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach at Kaneland High School for the 2014-2015 school
year, replacing Dominic Bruno, with a stipend amount of $5,132.00 (pending KEA contract
settlement).
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve employment of Emily Fuchs as the
TINA (This Is No Act) Club Co-Sponsor at Kaneland High School for the 2014-2015 school
year, with a stipend amount of $616.00 (pending KEA contract settlement).
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Rebecca Giles as
the TINA (This Is No Act) Club Co-Sponsor at Kaneland High School for the 2014-2015
school year, with a stipend amount of $616.00 (pending KEA contract settlement).

Grantcharov as a Co- Assistant Mathletes Coach for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing

DECA Advisor at Kaneland High School for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Tom

from a Lunchroom Monitor at Kaneland High School to a Study Hall Supervisor at Kaneland

hourly rate of $11.79.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Eric Moore as a
Co- Assistant Mathletes Coach for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Jennifer French,
with a stipend amount of $616.00 (pending KEA contract settlement).
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Kristin
Nettnin as a Foss Re-stocker at Kaneland McDole Elementary School for the 2014-2015
school year, with a start date of September 8, and at an hourly rate of $10.27.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Pattie
Pattermann as the 8th Grade Blue Team Leader at Kaneland Harter Middle School for
the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Lauren Biddle, at a stipend amount of $1,987.00.

replacing Stephanie Douglas, with a start date of August 28, 2014 and at an hourly rate of
$12.00.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the re-assignment of Debbie
Theis from Kaneland High School Athletic Secretary to Kaneland High School
Bookkeeper/Treasurer for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Judy VanBogaert, with
a start date of August 25, 2014 and at an hourly rate of $16.50.
I move that the Kaneland Board of Education approve the employment of Jennifer

Reporting of Student Suspensions
Below is a chart with the student suspensions since the previous School Board Meeting. The
suspensions are related to misconduct at school and on the bus. The parents of the students have
waived their right to a hearing by the Board of Education and all suspensions are ten days or less,
so this report is simply intended to provide data for School Board review. Specific disciplinary
trend data is shared each spring in an annual report.
