Developing Al-Ahli Dubai Open – which has attained a great success on the GCC level and
on the international level – is one of the most important goals taking priority in our
strategy to improve the individual sports and enhance creativity and excellence with the
unlimited support of our wise leaders His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of
Dubai, The Honorable President of Al-Ahli Club , and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed
Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council for
Dubai Government and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council,President of Al-Ahli Club Dubai

The UAE Taekwondo and Karate Federation is taking strides towards developing the karate
sport on the national level as well as acquiring achievements in the Gulf and the Arab
region and internationally.
We consider “Al-Ahli Dubai Open” the most important sports event conducted during the
year for Al-Ahli Club which reflects its ability - together with other clubs - to fulfill the
vision and mission of our leader His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
President of United Arab Emirates and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of
Dubai.
And so, it is obligatory to show the improvement of Al-Ahli Club from year to year through
the organization of “Al-Ahli Dubai Open” with regards to having reached astounding levels
of professionalism in organizational, technical and referral standards.
I would like to thank Al-Ahli Club for its appreciated help and continuous support to the
sport of karate in UAE that comes from the conviction of its administration regarding the
importance of individual games in general and karate in particular in achieving global
success standards.

1. RULES
The 5th AL-AHLI DUBAI OPEN 2016 will be conducted in accordance with the New WKF Rules
(Version 9.0) for Kata & Kumite.
In case of a disagreement in the interpretation of rules, the English text of the rules shall prevail.
Any unforeseen incident not covered by the Rules shall be dealt with accordingly in the following
manner.

4. INSURANCE
All participants and members of delegations must affect their own medical insurance and personal
trip insurance. Al Ahli Club and the UAE Taekwondo & Karate Federation are not liable for this
purpose.

Each federation/Club can register only 3 players per category in Kata & Kumite.
Each federation/Club can register only 2 teams per category in Kata & Kumite.
The Organizing Committee accepts only the registration made online at Sportdata.
No registration is acceptable after the mentioned closing date.
For any change after the closing date there is a penalty of 40 US $ per each change.
After the closing date we don’t accept any new registration.
In our Event the mix team is not allowed.
Each participant can compete only in his/her real weight and category.
Each contestant can represent only one Federation or Club in this event.
The online Registration is open only for the participants from outside the U.A.E.
Kumite team consists of three players and two reserves in all the categories.
No repechage system will be applies on this event.
Children under 14 years may perform any kata that they choose; they can repeat the kata
after 2 kata deferent.
All protective equipment must be WKF homologated for Cadet – juniors.
The head Protection is obligatory for all kumite categories under 14 y ( Bleu & Read color )
The maximum entry of this event is 800.
The Organizing Committee limits the coaches number to the following:
Up to 5 players One Coach.
Up to 10 Players Tow Coaches.
Up to 15 Players Three Coaches.
More than 15 Players Four Coaches.
8. EXPENSES / PARTICIPANTS FEES:
50 U.S $ per contestant/entry.
100 U.S $ per team (Kata/Kumite) per/entry.
The Organizing Committee will offer cash fees only for the official referees and judges who
are registered online at sportdata and selected from the waiting list to the official list:
 Continental Judge A & B plus National 50 U.S $ per day,
 Continental Referee A & B 75 U.S $ per day,
 WKF Referees 100 U.S $ per day,
Except that all the referees and judges are welcome

1. Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab (Tower of the Arabs) is the world's only 7 star hotel and
designed to resemble a billowing sail, the Burj Al Arab soars to a height of
321 meters, dominating the Dubai skyline making it the fourth tallest hotel
in the world.
It truly is one of the most iconic symbols of Dubai and is a majestic building.
No trip to Dubai would be complete without at least seeing it! There are
various viewpoints you can take photos from but one of the best is from the

back ground,It is one of the most photographed structures in the world, and consistently voted the

2. Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest tower and is an amazing feat of
engineering- the story of which you can see if you take a trip to "At The Top"- the
highest viewing platform in the world.
The high point of any Burj Khalifa experience is the view from At The Top.
Located on level 124 of the world's tallest tower, this observatory is destined to
be the highlight of any visit to the Middle East.
The journey begins in the lower ground level of The Dubai Mall. Throughout the

Dubai and the marvel that is the Burj Khalifa.
EW top tip is to buy your tickets online in advance as you can save about 300 Dhs per person
doing this. The slots sell out fast though- especially the sun set ones so make sure you get booked
in in time!
The Dubai Fountains

At the base of the world's tallest tower is one of the world's most amazing
fountains! In fact it is the world's largest dancing fountain!
Set on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as
500 ft, equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 900 ft long and
has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It is designed by Californiabased WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the performance repertoire including
Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili; the Arab world’s
top-selling dance number Shik Shak Shok; and the signature piece of worldrenowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye).
Over 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 colour projectors create a visual spectrum
of over 1,000 abstract attractions. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be seen
from over 20 miles away, and will be visible from space making it the brightest spot in the Middle
East, and quite possibly in the entire world.

Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East and offers an

Arrayed along the length of a remarkable 3.5km canal, the marinas provide sheltered berthing for
over five hundred yachts, in a setting that is simply unrivalled.

Located in front of the Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi offers 30 rides and

 Visa is complimentary for all teams or individual person Booked there room in one of our
official Hotels through the Event Organizer (EMIRATES OASIS TOURISM).
All prices are quoted in US Dollar. The exchange rate,

Please note that the accommodations for each room type are as follows:
Single Room
capacity for 1 person
Double Room
capacity for 2 persons
Triple Room
Two Bedroom Apartment
Cancellation Policy:
At least 30 days prior to arrival: free of charge
20 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking price
15 days prior to arrival: 100% of the total booking price
Visa: (complimentary)
For the countries that require visa, and want to apply they should send the colored passport copy
through e-mail to ([email protected]) before 07 March 2016 the Deadline Date of
Accepting the Passport copy to apply for visa.
Visa issues need minimum 7 working days, maximum 14 days.
Booking Procedures:
1. Fill in the Accommodation and Transfer Application Form, and email it to the Organizing
Committee of 5th Al-Ahli Dubai OPEN-2016.
2. After receiving the application, and verifying your booking reservation, a performance
invoice will be emailed to the applicant.
3. Upon receiving the performance invoice, the applicant shall pay 50% of the total amount
within 7 days from the date of invoice, failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be
considered null and void
4. The remaining balance (50% of payment) shall be paid in full before March 07th, 2016.
5. For any booking applications received after March 07th, 2016, upon receiving the
performance invoice, the applicant shall pay the full amount within 7 days from the date of
the invoice; failure in this procedure will cause the booking to be considered null and void.
