On the 19th of September, the Mira OLR received thousands of pigeon fanciers from all over the word and Delegates from several International Federations who had the opportunity to enjoy the traditional gastronomy. The 927 pigeons participating in the final race were basketed on Friday, September 18th, at the end of the day. All the baskets were sealed and the pigeons’ physical conditions, the act of basketing and the arrival of the pigeons were controlled by an international element, Mr. Leo Machaay (Netherlands) assigned by the organization of the FCI Grand Prix – Mundial Ranking of the International Pigeon Fanciers Federation.
