Want a $50 discount on your monthly medical rates?
Earning your 2016 Stay Healthy Reward is simple, and saves you money.
IT’S EASY…
GET A PHYSICAL:
Get a physical within 90 days of your date of hire. If you’ve gotten a physical within 12
months of your hire date, that counts too.
COMPLETE THE FORM:
Go online to www.NWLBenefits.com to let us know you got your physical. You’ll see
a link to the “I Got My Physical” form right on the home page. Remember, if you are
covering a spouse/domestic partner, he/she will need to complete the form too.
STAY HEALTHY REWARD
Newell Rubbermaid will reduce your
medical rates by $50 each month
in 2016 for getting your physical —
that means up to $600 more in your
paycheck over the year!
SEE THE REWARD ON YOUR PAYCHECK:
Once you get your physical and complete the form, and as long as you remain in the
medical plan, your 2016 paycheck will reflect a Stay Healthy Reward discount credit
of $50 per month ($600 per year) on your medical rates.* This Stay Healthy Reward
will be reflected on all of your 2016 paystubs.
Visit www.NWLBenefits.com for the details.
If you enroll in the medical plan as a result of a life event later in 2016, you can also earn
a Stay Healthy Reward. In that case, you and your covered spouse/domestic partner
just need to get an annual physical and submit the form within 90 days of the life event.
* Employees and covered spouses/domestic partners who don’t take action will spend an additional $50 per month for medical
coverage in 2016 than those who get a physical.

BE A SMARTER CONSUMER
Newell Rubbermaid helps you be a smarter consumer by providing you with a healthcare shopping tool, Healthcare Bluebook,
which provides price and quality data on medical procedures.
PRICE
For example, let’s assume you hurt your knee
while exercising and need to get an MRI.*
For some medical procedures, like MRIs, there are no
real quality differences—but there can be significant
cost differences. With the Healthcare Bluebook tool,
you see that a fair price for an MRI in your area is
$642. But, you can get one for as low as $237 and
has high as $2,528.
Without using Healthcare Bluebook, you may have
unknowingly paid as much as 10 times the low cost
for an MRI. That’s like paying $25 for a gallon of gas,
simply because you didn’t check the cost!
THE HEALTHCARE
BLUEBOOK TOOL
HELPS YOU:
• SEARCH by
medical procedure
• SEE the estimated
fair price
• CHOOSE a local provider
• REVIEW quality scores
• SAVE money
And, because Healthcare Bluebook is mobile-enabled
and accessible through the app on your smartphone,
you can always have this tool at your fingertips!
* For illustration purposes only. Actual prices shown in Healthcare Bluebook may vary depending on your location.

QUALITY
Now let’s look at an example of how
Healthcare Bluebook can improve the
quality of your healthcare.*
Finally, Healthcare Bluebook can help you
select a provider by allowing you to click
on the facility to view more details.
Let’s say your MRI shows that your knee injury is
serious, and you need a total knee replacement.
This way, you can find additional hospital
information, quality and patient satisfaction
scores.
For inpatient procedures like knee replacements,
there can be significant quality differences from
one hospital to the next, and even between
different procedures within the same hospital.
You may consider a certain hospital to be “high
quality,” but that doesn’t mean it applies to all
procedures.
Using Healthcare Bluebook, you can see that
there are 5 hospitals in your area with high
quality ratings for knee replacement surgeries. In
addition, there are 6 facilities with average ratings,
and many others with below average ratings.
Wouldn’t you want a highly-rated provider to
perform the care you need at a fair price?

GENERICS REQUIRED. Generic medications
are a safe and easy way for you to save on
healthcare. Generics use the same active
ingredients and have the same effectiveness
as name-brand medications, but at a fraction
of the cost. Newell Rubbermaid covers many
generics at 100%. If you choose a brand name
drug with a generic alternative, in most cases
you’ll be required to pay the difference in price
– and that extra cost won’t count toward your
deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
ADDITIONAL LOW COST GENERICS
AVAILABLE! Newell Rubbermaid offers a list of
additional generics for which the deductible will
be waived. That means lower costs for you! The
categories are below; check out the detailed list

Your financial health is critical to your success too, and that’s why we offer two benefits to help you prepare for retirement. If you’re not
saving, here’s how. If you are saving, we challenge you to consider saving a bit more. It’s for your future after all.
401(k) PLAN
The 401(k) Plan makes it easy to save for retirement. Here’s how it works:
• You can save up to the annual IRS contribution limits established for the
calendar year.*
• Your contributions can come out of your pay in two ways:
1. Tax-free, which lowers your taxable income, or
2. After-tax contributions to the Roth 401(k).
• You get free money from company matching contributions to help your account
grow — save 5% of your pay in the 401(k) Plan, and we’ll give you 4% more, free.
• You choose how to invest your savings in any combination of funds in the plan.

RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN (RSP)
When you work more than 1,000 hours a year and are employed on Dec. 31, Newell
Rubbermaid automatically contributes to your RSP account. That’s free money in
addition to the company match on your 401(k) savings. Company contributions to
the RSP are based on age plus years of service. These annual RSP contributions are
based on your base pay capped at the IRS earnings limit of $265,000 (for 2016).
You are 100% vested in the RSP after three years of service.

IDENTITY THEFT PROTECTION
Millions of people have their identities stolen every year. You don’t have to be one of them.
ID theft has been the top consumer complaint for almost two decades. Criminal methods have become
increasingly sophisticated, while victims must spend excessive time, money and effort dealing with theft
situations.
With IDShield, you can purchase ID Theft coverage that includes personal consultations with ID theft
experts, privacy and security monitoring services, restoration services, plus an exclusive member website
and mobile app.
IDShield understands the current potential threats, how to prevent them and how to restore any damage done.
Their coverage includes:
MONITORING MORE OF WHAT MATTERS
IDShield monitors the safety of your identity from every angle. This includes not only your Social Security
number, credit cards and bank accounts, but also your social media accounts. If any change in your status occurs,
you receive an email update immediately.
COUNSEL WHEN YOU NEED IT
IDShield specialists are truly focused on protecting you. They can provide a complete picture of how identity
theft can hurt you and your family, answer questions, and walk you through the process of protecting yourself.
And they are available 24/7 in the event of an emergency.
RESTORING YOUR IDENTITY
IDShield is the only company with an exclusive partnership with Kroll, the worldwide leader in theft investigative
services. If a compromise occurs, a Licensed Private Investigator will be assigned your case and immediately
begin to restore your identity to exactly the way it was.

As part of the healthcare act, we are providing you with an online summary for each of
our medical plans. Each summary includes detailed information on what the plan covers and
what it costs, in an easy to understand Q&A
format. The summary also includes coverage
examples — samples of what you might pay if
you have a baby, as well as what you might pay
if you are managing a chronic condition such
as diabetes. These examples are specific to our
Newell Rubbermaid-sponsored plans. There is
also a glossary of common healthcare terms
and information about other compliance documents posted to Employee Connection, such as
the HIPAA private notice and exchange notice.
