Fikkerts has come a long way since it was first established over 100 years ago. I am very sure that my great great
uncle, Everard Carter would be extremely proud of the way the business has grown over this time. Fikkerts is one of
the very few English toiletries companies that still manufactures its own products and I have lost count of the times
that retailers and customers have told me that this is what makes us really special!
There are many reasons why our company and products have stood the test of time. Not least the fact that all our
ranges are designed to be both pleasurable to sell, a joy to buy and a delight to receive. From the development of
a fragrance right through to the design of the packaging, Fikkerts take every care to make sure that their products
not only look amazing but also feel wonderful to use. We source the very best natural ingredients from all over
the world, using fresh plants and herbs and ensuring that any raw materials are purchased only from suppliers
operating professionally and ethically. Our many ranges appeal to a wide variety of tastes. However, Fikkerts
products are instantly recognisable by their exquisite
packaging, imaginative design and attention to detail.
Our customers are paramount and we share a genuine

1. Everard Carter (founder of Carter
Brothers which later became Fikkerts
Limited), pictured here with his
beloved wife Janet and only daughter
Marjorie. Marjorie later joined the
business after studying a degree in
pharmacy.
2. Norman Carter (Everard’s nephew)
joined the company as a young man
and became so passionate about the
business he eventually took over the
reins himself.

they had two daughters Joan and
Margaret.

own business. Margaret and Barry’s
daughter Clare still works at Fikkerts
today. Dirk Fikkert eventually took
over the business from his father-inlaw Norman (left) and renamed the
company Fikkerts.

Richard Fikkert, great great Nephew of Everard Carter is now married with two daughters. His wife Julia
works alongside him and their two daughters Eleanor and Annabel are already perfecting their blending
skills for the next generation of Fikkerts customers !
