They have over 25 years of armor vehicle experience stemming from companies such as: O’Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring Co., BAE Systems, Centigon, Roush Engineering, Scaletta Moloney Armoring, and General Motors Specialty Vehicles. HEAT Armor was created to serve clients around the world with integrity and quality you can trust. Tom Herlihy After graduating from Purdue University in 1991 with a degree in business, Tom joined a commodities trading firm in New York City. Two years later he joined a family member's armored vehicle business in Cincinnati, O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt. Since starting at O'Gara-Hess in 1993, Tom has been involved in all aspects of the armored vehicle manufacturing industry. At O'Gara, Tom began as a cost estimator, then rose through sales and marketing to become a national sales manager. Soon after O'Gara-Hess (now a division of BAE Systems) went public Tom joined a competitor where sales, ERP and IT were his responsibilities. Having skills in sales, marketing, resource planning, and technology, Tom founded HEAT Armor on the southwest side of Chicago. Tom is serving as President for HEAT Armor, LLC. Doug Cannon Doug Cannon has worked in the automotive field for 11 years, concentrating on limousines and armored vehicle integration. He recently worked at Scaletta Moloney Armoring, managing the design and engineering department. Prior to that, Doug worked for six years at General Motors’ Specialty Vehicles. He was responsible for the police vehicle program and several other specialty vehicle programs, including the Cadillac Armor Prep Program, as well as on the Cadillac Armored DeVille, which Scaletta manufactured for General Motors. Doug also spent 2 years at Roush Engineering where he worked on armored vehicles and other limo programs. Doug has a mechanical engineering degree from Michigan Technological University. Doug is serving as the Director of Engineering for HEAT Armor, LLC. Darren Flynn Darren Flynn is well known in the armoring industry serving many roles dealing with Head of State clients, OEMs and joint manufacturing operations. His 14 year tenure with the now BAE Systems allowed Darren the direct responsibility for North America. Serving as the Director of Sales for the Cincinnati facility, Darren developed and organized the sales departments for 7 factories around the world. His responsibility also extended to joint productions in Mexico, Philippines, and Russia. Consistent design, lean manufacturing techniques, pricing strategies, quality and the management of production capacities were part of his daily activities. Darren has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with both International Business and German Minors from the University of Cincinnati.
