Geezers on Wheezers Ride the Iron Horse Trail
Geezers on Wheezers Ride the Iron Horse Trail Part VI July 13 – 18, 2014 Geezers on Wheezers is a ride like none other – it is a happening more than a motor cycle ride. This event is geared to the oldest bikes and the frailest riders. This year we will follow The Iron Horse Trail alongside an old railroad bed through Northeastern Alberta. Some past rides have been extremely challenging but the 2014 ride will be primarily on paved roads with short sojourns onto the actual Iron Horse Trail. To promote the participation of older bikes there will be a follow-up vehicle to provide transport of camping & personal gear and for bike pick-up in case of mechanical failure. This is a rain or shine event so carry your rain gear on your bike. Some dirt roads will be bypassed if it rains. In the spirit of Geezers on Wheezers Relive the days of past riding. You are encouraged to wear period riding gear with modern helmets. Come out, spend a week enjoying the traditions of Geezers on Wheezers in the company of kindred souls, and have a leisurely tour of the back roads of Alberta on your oldest bike. What Bikes are eligible? You may register any motorcycle for the ride but the tour is designed for older bikes with the ride being more important than the destination.
