ow…what a difference a year makes!!
I can’t believe I am writing this letter
to tell you about our brand new stores we
have opened in Edmonton and Saskatoon.
We now have 4 great stores to serve you
from, in three provinces, including our
stores in Calgary and Winnipeg. This is
a huge step for us. It is honestly the most
exciting thing that has happened to my
sister, father and I in our collective business
careers. To celebrate we have a great sales
event planned for you with unbelievable
specials and savings to take advantage of.
We were originally going to have the grand
opening sales in just the two new stores but
we were so excited about the deals we got
from our suppliers we just had to share the
savings with our customers in Winnipeg
and Calgary too! The only difference is that
the prizes and factory reps will only be in
the two new stores. The door crashers and
sale prices though, are for all four stores!!
I want to welcome our new customers in
Edmonton and Saskatoon! We have been
in the woodworking tool supply business
since my father started the company in
Winnipeg back in 1967. We are a family
owned and operated business in its second
generation. It is now owned by me and
my sister Erin Taylor. We began as a saw
sharpening and industrial tool sales business
and over the years have evolved into a retail
and industrial supply store for hobbyist to
commercial woodworkers.
Our stores are specifically designed for, and
dedicated to, woodworking enthusiasts.
We have a designated “book store” area
for selling our books and plans, and a great
selection of tools for woodworkers. We have
carving, wood burning and woodturning
tools, hand tools, saw blades, router bits,
clamps, and power tools and machinery.
In addition to our new stores we have added
a number of new tools to our selection too!
We now have Bosch, Dremel, RotoZip
and Fein power tools and SawStop, Rikon,
Laguna Tools, and Safety Speed Cut
woodworking machinery. We also added a
great line of air tools from Grex. They make
the best 23 gauge pin nailers on the planet.

My name is Daniel Messett. I have been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years in both the commercial and residential
sectors. After my carpentry apprenticeship at S.A.I.T. Polytechnic in Calgary, and acquiring a diploma in adult education, I became head
instructor for the Southern Interior Construction Association in British Columbia. I eventually moved into management of various new
home construction companies, one of which was a recipient of the Alberta Award of Excellence in Housing Design and Innovator of the
Year from C.M.H.C. In my new role as team leader and account manger of our Calgary operation I look forward to meeting many of you

Saskatchewan all my life, except for attending
school for four years in Toronto. I worked for
25 years in commercial industrial photography,
everything from Potash mines to Medical.
I then spent nine years in the heavy steel
fabrication industry before joining a former tool
house as an industrial account manager for the
last five years. Throughout my time I have been an avid woodworker spending
every spare minute in my 800 square foot shop. Over many years I have come
to know the many shop teachers, cabinet shop and construction owners in
