Some events the juniors are planning this year
range anywhere from a possible reverse fashion
show to the Mr. Holiday pageant in December.
There will also be a Winter Ball at Cornerstone, and
the class has already begun gathering volunteers
for decorating and guard duty. They are also trying
to raise funds to pay for the junior/senior prom
in May, next year’s May Day, Graduation, and
Project Graduation.
The freshmen class is trying to raise money
for activities during their junior and senior year.
Each freshman student is being asked to raise
money to go into the class budget. Some of these
activities include: Junior/Senior prom, May Day,
Graduation, and Project Graduation.
They are also getting used to the feel of the
building. Soon the freshmen will know where all
of the rooms are.

as guidance counselors to UHS students. The guidance office
plays a major role at Upperman. They not only inform students
of credits for each graduation class, but they make sure each
student is registered for classes and those are classes that student
will need. Mrs. Upchurch and Mrs. Farley help seniors obtain
information about educational and fianancial opportunities after
high school.
The guidance office is also a great place to go if you
need someone to talk to, whether it’s about bullying or home
problems, they are open to talk to throughout the school day.

The play was written by Patrick Rainville Dorn. It tells the
story of a group of high school students who decide to stay
at their school one night to solve the mystery of the “locker
stalker.” The students believe that the “locker stalker” is
responsible for taking items from their lockers that show
up later in unusual places. With added technology, the
cast was able to create different types of dreams to increase
suspense.

McCaleb’s drama students about ballet and performing a series of dances that told tales from

Mrs. McCaleb’s classes were given instruction in assembling the set and ballet floor, props,

Senior Dustin Buck “I am...” poem
Senior Alex Wilborn “I am...” poem
Senior Travis Williams “I am ...” poem
I am Buck.
I wonder if I will be successful.
I hear myself answering “I will be.”
I see the road I must travel down-I want to succeed in life.
I am determined.
I am Alex Wilborn.
I wonder where my life will take me:
I hear music flowing within a recital hall.
I see the beauty of people and their hearts.
I want that special someone.
I am a musician.
I am Travis Williams.
I wonder where I will be in the next few years.
I hear the sounds of the woods-I see many animals;
I want to kill a monster buck-I am a hunter.
I pretend I can be stopped.
I feel like I cannot be.
I touch the sky when I reach for my goals.
I worry about the future-I cry after I reach the top.
I am unstoppable.
I pretend not to care at times;
I feel my life will be prosperous.
I touch every instrument I can find.
I worry that one day I may fail.
I cry only when family is lost.
I am a realist:
I understand the road ahead is a long, rocky one.
I say my confidence in life is not very great.
I dream of one day being virtuosic-I try to do my best.
I hope for a loving family in life.
I am Alex Wilborn.
I pretend I am in World War II;
I feel scared.
I touch my rifle-I worry I might get killed.
I cry when I think of my parents hearing the
news.
I am a make believe soldier.
I understand I did my best.
I say thanks to those who got me to where I am;
I dream that others could follow in my shoes.
I try to help anyone who is in my past situation-I hope they take my advice .
I am Buck.
I understand why I joined the army.
I say it’s because I love my country so much.
I dream about what might happen to me.
I try not to think about the bad things;
I hope to get back home safe when it is all over.
I am Travis Williams.
