FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bajek, a 14-year creative werks veteran, is promoted to Vice President
Bensenville, Ill. – On Friday, August 23rd, Steve Schroeder, President,
announced the appointment of Sarah Bajek to Human Resources Vice
President. Bajek, who has been with creative werks since its inception,
was integral in launching the company after its split from RTC Industries,
creative werks’ parent company.
“As part of the original creative werks team, I had the unique opportunity
to bridge the gap between our prior company, RTC, and the creation of
our new company – creative werks,” explained Bajek. “This gave me the
chance to rebuild our HR philosophy to meet the needs of a small, but
growing company. I sought to create a company culture that embraced core components of trust, excellence and
care.”
Bajek leads creative werks’ Human Resources Department and is responsible for negotiating labor agreements,
establishing policy and building creative werks’ human capital, a critical component of creative werks’ culture and
corporate strategy. Between creative werks salaried and temporary associates there are on average 475 people
working between one of the company’s three facilities.
In addition to developing robust training programs, safety initiatives and building creative werks’ team, Bajek
remains closely involved in the decisions that affect all members of creative werks and its affiliates. “creative
werks values the role HR plays in the direct link between the happiness of its employees and the success of our
business,” said Bajek. “I am genuinely honored to be this representative. I will continue to promote the concept
that our associates are the most valuable resource of our company.” In 2012, Bajek led creative werks through a
four-day Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), which examined creative werks’ policies surrounding labor,
health and safety, business practices and community outreach.
Each year creative werks solicits an anonymous survey from company associates to measure overall satisfaction
and ideas for improvement. As the primary liaison between creative werks associates and being an agent for
change, Bajek uses these comments and ideas to improve the workplace and create an environment where
associates love to work. As a result of this feedback, Bajek has instituted a number of employee-centric
initiatives and brought in speakers on a range of topics from 401K savings to health and fitness tips. Beyond
her employee advocacy and devotion to the success of the business, Bajek is an avid Chicago Bears fan and
enjoys supporting them at her Naperville home alongside her husband and two kids.
Schroeder, who originally hired Bajek at RTC, said, “Sarah has been with me for some time and her impact on
creative werks has been profound. I have immense respect for her professionally and I deeply value her loyalty,
devotion to our team and her friendship. I can think of no one better to lead this important function of our
company.”
