9 Bear left at the end
of the path, then turn
right to continue on the
path signed ‘Town
Centre’, heading back
to the bus terminus.

4 Just before the
bus stop and the
roundabout, turn left
onto Hawker Street to
follow the Surtees Rail
Trail through Timothy
Hackworth Park and
playing fields.
7 Follow the path
signposted ‘Railway
Station’, and bear right
at the next path
junction.
You can extend your
walk here to visit the
Locomotion Museum.

immediately after the
mini roundabout and
turn right down Main
Street.

Hackworth Close, bear
left to pass Soho House
(Hackworth 2).

pedestrian crossing,
cross the road and turn
left to pass the Library.
8 On reaching the
bridge and station
area take the path to
the left, not crossing
the bridge, but
continuing along the
path with the railway
line on your right.
