Index 2011 showcases the new collections
from pioneering and globally-renowned,
London and Dubai based furniture and
textiles company, Andrew Martin.
The Compass, Engineer and Archive
collections, though all unique, share a
common thread - Andrew Martin’s signature eclecticism. Muted tones - charcoal, chocolate, cement,
fawn and ivory are met by Mohican reds and crimson. Classic vintage leathers are offset against
printed monochrome kilims, sophisticated wallpapers speaking of industrial chic are softened next to
crisp, striped linens, and treasures from the comic books of the 50’s and 60’s are brought to life in
elegant interiors with a quirky and fun edge.

of bespoke rugs is that the individual needs of the client can be matched exactly,
using the finest Tibetan wool and luxurious silk. Jean is keen to promote rugs
not only as functional pieces, but as art for walls and floors. Although based in
Scotland she prefers to spend most of her time in Venice (Molino Stucky 814

of her adopted city – colours washed out, eroded and lightened by sun, sea and
age. This is her second show at Index, and through the first, is currently working

In this age of mass production there still exists a haven for
artistry and craftsmanship. Royal Crown Derby will be providing
visitors at Index 2011 the opportunity to view the inspirational
skill and artistry of its English Fine Bone China collection. From
its beginnings in 1750 to the present day, the company has been
synonymous with exquisite tableware and gift items that are
highly prized throughout the world.
Still made 100% in England using techniques passed down from
generation to generation, the company produces both classic and
contemporary items at its facility situated in the heart of the
English countryside in Derbyshire, under the Royal Warrant
endowed by Queen Victoria in 1890.
