Summer FuN FOr Kids! - Enoch Pratt Free Library
july & august 2014 PRATTLIBRARY.ORG Programs For Children page TAKE TIME Nelson Mandela said: “We must use time wisely and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right.” This summer, let us all hit the pause button to take time for ourselves. During these leisurely months, the Pratt Library plays an important role as a resource and community center. Summer is the perfect time to read fun books that interest your child. Librarians are ready to recommend books and ways to enjoy reading them: grab a blanket and lie in the park or read under the stars with your children during a camping trip. Reading is fun, but students should never take a vacation from learning. The Pratt also offers a variety of free programs throughout the summer. Magic, music and storytelling programs for kids and their families are offered at all Pratt branches. New exhibits at the Central Library include Maryland in Black and White and Making a Difference. You’ll also find many free movies, concerts and author events to enjoy. It’s a good time to slow down and create memorable experiences with your family. As the saying goes, “take time to smell the flowers.” No one has ever regretted doing it, especially with a good book in hand. 2 Programs For Teens page 4 Presented in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Maryland Chapter. 6 Sue Trainor: Good Vibrations Pennsylvania Avenue Branch Tuesday, July 29, 4 p.m. Washington Village Branch Monday, July 21, 10:30 a.m. Northwood Branch Thursday, July 24, 10:30 a.m. Ages birth - 2.
