Green Rebels vs. White Empire, the competition was close
until the end,
It doesn’t matter who wins or loses, everyone did their best
and played and cheered with their friends!
A Big League thank you to our Color War Generals and Staff
for making it so great,
All the build up and suspense of Color War break was well
worth the wait!
Our 1st ever Color Run was a HUGE success,
We ran, we raised money and we all were a MESS!
Like a scene from “Star Wars”, Darth Vader and Han Solo
battled it out,
All the Campers and Staff were surprised without a doubt!
We can not believe Week 7 is coming to a close,
Where did the summer go, no one knows.
“A Trip Down Memory Lane” Week 8 has some very special
events in store,
Ice Cream Social, Carnival and a C.A.P. bonfire with s’mores!
Ivy League campers are the very best, you know it’s true,
We have enjoyed spending the past 7 weeks with each and
every one of you!

The force was strong during Color War games.
The Green Rebels and White Empire sought first place
fame.
We broke at the color run with ice cream and fun.
Then the duel broke out and the battle begun.
The campers showed spirit with light sabers through
space.
Whether dominating in the pools or when they had to
race.
The week ended with the Apache Relay which is
always a blast.
At Sing everyone gathered to make memories which
will always last.
It’s hard to believe that our summer is almost done.
Hang on tight because next week there’ll be fun for
everyone.
Seven weeks done but we’re not through.
Week 8 plus carnival will be the best for me and you.

IVY LEAGUE CAMPERS ARE THE BEST!
WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOUR CAMP
SPIRIT DURING COLOR WAR!
EVERYONE’S A WINNER AT ILDC!
CONGRATULATIONS WHITE EMPIRE!
Janis Ventre
Mini Day Supervisor
Our Mini Day campers had fun in the sun,
With games and treats for everyone.
Our Preppys were dressed in their color war clothes,
As the fun and excitement for our cuties arose.
They had delicious cupcakes for super star day,
And enjoyed all the fun games that they did play.
Our Frosh 1 and 2 played tug of war, found coins, saw a
show, and so much more.
We’re ready for our trip down Memory week,
Lots to do, check it out, give the calendar a peek!
Janis Ventre
Pre-School Supervisor
The force was with Pre-school all week long,
As we played lots of games and sang wonderful songs.
Color Run was truly a beautiful start!
Sidewalk child, painting clothes, and face painting a part.
And then Color War broke,
American, Lehigh, and UCLA ,
Enjoyed finding coins, star wars games, and the water
game spray.
Penn and Jackson loved the tug of war and cooling down at
the shaved ice break.
They both liked eating the light sabers that they got to
make.
So off Preschool goes down to Memory Lane Days,
Ivy League, We LOVE You in so many ways!
Kami Goldberg
Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd Gr. Girls Supervisor
Color War has come and gone.
The memory of Star Wars week will always live on.
Whether on the White Team or on the Green,
The Rebels and the Empire were surely supreme.
Emory and Syracuse played hard and true.
Wellesley and Rutgers cheered all the way through.
Barnard and Holyoke will always remain friends,
No matter who wins or loses we’re ILDC family until the end.
Sharon Katzanek
Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd Gr. Boys Supervisor
7 weeks are over and done,
But we still have lots of BIG LEAGUE FUN.
Color War broke and the boys of Duke couldn’t wait,
For all the fun to start that they knew would be great.
The boys of Brown had so much fun,
As they all participated in our Color Run.
The game show was a really big hit,
The boys kept trying and would never quit.
White Empire and Green Rebel is our Color War
theme,
The boys of Princeton are having fun as you hear
them scream.
At the end of the week we are all still friends,
And we hope our Ivy League Action never ends.
The boys of Dartmouth are having a ball,
Green and White spirit all for one and one for all.
We can’t believe next Friday is our very last day,
Hoping camp won’t end so we can all stay.
The boys of Villanova loved competing in the pool,
Everything about Color War is really cool.
Around camp you can find smiles and happy faces,
As the boys played and ran around the bases.
The boys of Amherst loved playing Tog of War,
Watching the “Eva the Diva Show” and a whole lot
more.
We cannot wait for next week’s carnival to start,
Leaving all our friends at camp will break our heart.
Jeff Sheiner
3rd, 4th & 5th Gr. Girls Supervisor
It hard to believe 7 weeks of camp have gone by. This
week brought our favorite, COLOR WAR. The whole
camp looked forward to this all summer long. The
campers have participated in many events, which
culminated in a Color War winner. We are so proud of
everyone for making Color War one for the books. Next
week our 4th graders will be going on a Pirate
Adventure. The 5th graders will be going to Sahara
Sams. This summer has been one of the best! It has
been FANTASTIC. Week 8 with carnival will definitely be
even more GREAT!
James “Wes” Wesley
3rd, 4th, & 5th Gr. Boys Supervisor
May the force be with you! Week 7 has been a galactic
success! Color War broke and Green and White battled
it out like the Jedi and the Sith. 3rd grade went to Camden Aquarium and the 5th grade went roller-skating.
Next week we take to the seas on a Pirate adventure for
the 4th grade. This summer flew by faster then the
Millennium Falcon making the Kessel Run in less than
12 parsecs, and even though Alderaan is gone...camp
still has 1 week to go! I cant wait for one more week of
Big League Fun.
Rob Solomon
Grads, Caps, & Masters Supervisor
IVY LEAGUE ACTION!
BIG LEAGUE FUN!
We had a FUNTASTIC week 7. On Monday, the CAPs
and Masters went to Mountain Creek Water Park to
experience the amazing rides. We all cooled off in the
hot weather especially on the Cliff Dive. The Grads were
at camp participating in elective and options. The Grads
and CAPs went back in time on Tuesday and watched
knights in armor battle it out at Medieval Times. There
was lunch and a tournament! The Masters were back at
camp helping out in specialty areas. Upon our return to
camp, we joined everyone in the Color Run and Color
War break out. Our final trip to Hurricane Harbor was
great as we battled the heat and cooled off in the
numerous water rides. On Wednesday and Friday, the
travel campers participated in the highly spirited
competition of COLOR WAR. We can’t wait for week 8 to
bring more BIG LEAGUE FUN!
Justin Schmid
Athletics Supervisor & Program Coordinator
Strong in the force this color war was. Much like the
mighty Rancor, both teams unleashed their might and
had an amazing color war. The campers had more fun
this week than an Ewok celebration party on Endor.
Week 7 and this color war will be one that will be
remembered in the Jedi Holocrons as the best color war
ever. Our athletic storm troopers brought the might of
the empire onto the fields as our referees. They led
counselor/camper events and a galactic tug of war. This
will be a week to remember. As Obi-Wan Kenobi would
say “This is the Big League Fun you’re looking for!”
Melissa Cohen
Waterfront Supervisor
The swim staff cannot believe how quick 7 weeks went
by. This week the campers competed fiercely in color
war activities including a scavenger hunt, splash park
freeze dance, and bumper boats triathlon. We are so
proud of all of our swimmers who competed in color war
apache! Ivy League swimmers are AWESOME! During
week 8, campers will be evaluated for swim levels one
last time. We are so proud of our Ivy League swim stars!
Meryl Fischer
Creative Supervisor
Fun was had by all during Color War week. The creative
staff ran the Color Run for the pre-school and
kindergarten children. They started the Color Run by
drawing on their friends shirts with chalk. The next
station was painting their friends with water color paints.
Lastly, they got to get their beautiful faces painted with
face paint by our talented staff. The rest of the week, the
creative staff was in charge of an educational
competition called College Bowl where children who are
7 years old and up, score points for their teams. The
preschoolers enjoyed Memory Match relay followed by
refreshing snow cones given out by our wonderful
cooking teachers. We LOVE Color War!
