Young German woman Marie escapes to Fukushima to change her life. Working with the
organization Clowns4Help, she hopes to bring joy to 2011 disaster survivors, some still living in
emergency shelters. Marie soon realizes she’s absolutely unsuited to the task of making tragedy less
wearisome. But instead of running away, Marie decides to stay with cantankerous old Satomi, the last
geisha of Fukushima, who of her own accord has decided to retreat back to her ruined house in the
formerly radioactive Exclusion Zone. Two women who couldn’t be more different, but who – each
in her own way – are trapped in the past and must learn to liberate themselves from guilt and the
burden of memory.

nationalistic Jewish rappers, government-imposed gentrification and troubled drug-dealing friends. When
his girlfriend Manar is threatened by her family about performing publicly, the time comes for Kareem to
either surrender to conservative tradition or stand up for the woman he loves, the artist he respects...
Screenplay by real-life rapper Tamer Nafar (who stars as Kareem) and Oren Moverman (THE

While vacationing at a seaside resort with his wife, frustrated novelist Kenji Shimizu’s curiosity is
sparked by an intriguing couple: beautiful young woman Miki and older man Sahara. His fascination
lures him into peeping in their room late at night and he sees Sahara methodically filming Miki
while she sleeps. He soon befriends Sahara who confesses his obsessive love for Miki. Kenji’s fixation
with the mysterious couple spirals, and he stalks the couple in search for answers. But the more he
discovers, the less he understands, except for an escalating sense of danger...
