tradition the black fabric would be quilted in black.

2. Cut the Amish quilt blocks panel into 15
separate 6-1/2" blocks. Refer to steps 1-2.
. Cut the Amish scenes panel into 6-1/2"
squares leaving 1/4" of black around each
scene for the seam allowances.
3. Cut the mini quilt rows of the Amish stripe into
49 sashing strips 2-1/2" x 6-1/2". Center the mini
quilts in each 6-1/2" length.
This will yield 15 Amish scenes blocks.
4. Cut 30 mini Amish scenes 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".
Leave 1/4" seam allowance of black around
each mini scene.

5. Sew the full size Amish scene and Amish
quilt blocks, sew them together into four
rows with the mini quilt sashing strips. Press
toward the sashing strips.
Sew the remaining sashing strips and the
mini quilt squares together. Make 5 rows of 5
sashing and 6 mini quilt squares. Press toward
the sashing strips.
6. Sew the long border 1 strips to the long sides
of the quilt. Press toward the border strips. Sew
the short border 1 strips to the top and bottom
of the quilt. Press toward the border strips.
7. Repeat for border 2.
8. Sew a quilt block to the ends of each short
border 3 strip. Press toward the border strips.
Sew the long outer border strips to the long
sides of the quilt. Press toward border strips.
Sew the short border 3 strips to the top and
bottom of the quilt. Press toward border strips.
Sew row to row. Press away from the sashing.
9. Layer the backing, batting and pieced top
together. Baste layers.
0. Quilt as desired.
. Bind using a 1/4" seam allowance. If you wish
to have a wider binding please be sure to trim
the backing and batting (after quilted) larger
than the quilt top. For example if your binding
is going to be 3/8" finished width, cut the
backing and batting 1/8" wider than the top.

Border 2 (5) 2-1/2" x 42" sew end to end and
trim to fit your quilt.
Approximately 41-1/2" x 45-1/2" lengths (2 of
each).
Cut selvage to selvage (crosswise grain)

Border 1 (2) 2" x 37-1/2"
(2) 2" x 42"
1-1/2 yards
Border 3 (2) 6-1/2" x 41-1/2"
(2) 6-1/2” x 49-1/2"
Cut paralell to selvage (lengthwise grain).
Always measure your quilt before cutting
lengths. Adjust as necessary to fit your quilt.
