TRU WolfPack Information
2015-16 Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Men's Basketball
One thing you can’t say about the men’s basketball program at
Thompson Rivers University is that it has taken a step backward in
the last five years.
Under the direction of head coach Scott Clark, the team has built
on the previous season’s success. In 2014-15, the WolfPack made
the playoffs and hosted their first ever post season series (where
they swept the Winnipeg Wesmen before moving onto the
quarter finals).
The core of that team is back for 2015-16.
Josh Wolfram (Kamloops, BC) emerged as one of the top players
in the CIS last season. He was selected to Team Canada for the
World University Games (the first TRU athlete ever to receive that
distinction) in South Korea. He is back for his fifth and final year of
eligibility and is expected to be a force under the basket.
Reese Pribilsky (Victoria, BC) was among the top players in Canada
West last year in assists and steals. He will run the offense as he
enters his final year of athletic eligibility. The other fifth year on
the ‘Pack this season is Gerard Gore (St. John’s Antiqua) who will
be a key player off the bench.
Another veteran expected to play a bigger role in the team’s
success this year is Luke Morris (Mission, BC).
There are a number of new faces on the roster this year led by
Ukrainian Volodymyr Iegorov (forward) and Mauricio “Albert”
Medrano of Los Altos, California (guard).
Evan Helgason (guard, Kamloops, BC) is a graduate of Norkam
who attended a U.S. Prep school last year in Florida. Other recruits
who will vie for court time this season are Jeff Tubbs (Kelowna,
BC), Justin Mason (Cloverdale, BC), Evan Cave (Kamloops, BC)
and Mike Rouault (Vernon, BC). Mike is the younger brother of
WolfPack alumnus Brett Rouault.
Joining Clark on the bench this year is Kevin Pribilsky (third year)
and Paul Patterson (second year). Tallon Milne moves from the
floor to the sidelines after completing his athletic eligibility last
year. The other new face on the bench belongs to Ted Murray
who worked with Clark when he was at Simon Fraser University.
Josh Wolfram has the distinction of becoming the first athlete
from Thompson Rivers to represent the school and the city at the
World University Games. Wolfram was part of Team Canada who
finished eighth at the 2015 event, held in South Korea.

SCOTT CLARK: HEAD COACH
Scott was hired as the head coach of the men’s basketball
program at TRU on May 20, 2010. Clark joins the WolfPack
program as the team’s third head coach in their Canada West
history. He left the Simon Fraser University Clan after spending
15 years at the helm of the SFU men’s basketball program,
making the playoffs each of the last 10 years. With Simon Fraser,
Clark was 113-96 over that time.
“This was a great opportunity,” said Clark, who ended up
moving closer to his parents and friends in Kelowna, BC. “I’m
eager to continue laying a foundation on a program which has
improved, but not had a great deal of success at the CIS level.”
Clark describes himself as a coach who is demanding but fair.
He immediately jumped into the Kamloops basketball scene by
holding shooting clinics, starting the Junior Wolves program for
boys in grades 4 and a mentorship program for athletes from
grades 10-12.
Clark holds a Master’s degree in coaching. He attended the
National Coaching Institute in Victoria, BC and has been a CIS
coach for 20 years. He is married to Carla. His step-sons are Brett
(who played five years with the WolfPack) and Cole.
The TRU program has improved every year under Clark’s watch.
He is very committed to his player’s success on and off the court
along with their involvement in the community.
KEVIN PRIBILSKY: ASSISTANT COACH
This is Kevin’s third as assistant coach. He joined Thompson Rivers
University six years ago with head coach Scott Clark and former
assistant andp layer Chas Kok from Simon Fraser University. Kevin
was the winner of the Dr. Roger H. Barnsley Athlete of the Year
in 2012-13. He was the captain of the WolfPack in 2013-14 and
coordinated all the team’s community events. Kevin worked for
two years at the TRU WolfPack/McDonald’s summer camps and has
been actively involved in community coaching since he arrived in
Kamloops. He completed his Arts degree in 2013-14 and recently
graduated with a Post-Bach degree in Human Resources. He works
for Worksafe BC. Kevin was also a nominee for the Basketball BC
University Player of the Year in 2012-13.
TRU WolfPack Coaching Staff

High School First team All-star in 1989. Paul coached the Sa-Hali
Senior Boys Basketball team from 2007-14 and has held many
Basketball BC coaching positions including at the Okanagan
Regional Training Center. In 2014, he teamed up with former
WolfPack assistant Joe Enevoldson to lead the Team BC U16 boys
to a national championship. Paul is married to Taya and they have
two amazing children Theo (4) and Sloane (2).
TALLON MILNE: ASSISTANT COACH
Tallon moves from the court to the sidelines this season after completing
five years of CIS eligibility. He spent the last three seasons (2012-15) with
the WolfPack after playing two years at Simon Fraser University. Tallon
is completing his Master’s Thesis in Science. The native of Vanderhoof,
BC He enjoys working out and snowboarding. His favourite movie is
Happy Gilmore starring Adam Sandler. Until this past summer, Tallon had
worked as a forest fire fighter.
TED MURRAY: ASSISTANT COACH
This is Ted’s first year as assistant coach. However, Ted was previously
an assistant coach for head coach Scott Clark with the Simon Fraser
University Clan from 1997 to 1999, following four seasons as a team
manager there from 1992 to 1996. Ted also worked with Coach Clark and
former TRU assistant coach Mark Simpson as an apprentice coach Team
BC U17 Boys in 2000 and 2001. Ted coached the Senior Boys at his high
school alma mater, North Delta from 1999 to 2007 as an assistant coach
for three seasons and head coach for five seasons. During that time,
North Delta qualified for the AAA Provincials in 2001, 2002, and 2007
and came 2nd in the AAA Fraser Valleys in 2007. Ted went back to school
to study law at UBC in 2007. He graduated in 2010 as the top all-around
student and, after a judicial clerkship with the Supreme Court of British
Columbia, practiced law at a downtown Vancouver firm from 2011 to
2015. Ted, his girlfriend Hayley, and their cat, Sophie, recently decided
to relocate to Kamloops, where Ted looks forward to continuing his
legal practice and working with Coach Clark in building a championship
program at TRU. He is also teaching at the TRU Law School.

3
MIKE ROUAULT (ROO-ALT)
Vernon, BC (Clarence Fulton Secondary)
6’6” Guard
1st year (Science)
18 years old

have. He sat out last year so it will take him a little bit to get going. He is a guy
who can help us down the road. As it is with all first year guys, he needs to
improve a bit physically. When he does he will make an impact.”
4
JEFF TUBBS

6’3” Guard
1st year (General Studies)
18 years old
Parents’ names: Sheri & Dennis

years under the direction of esteemed high school coach Rich Chambers. Jeff played
varsity volleyball in high school as well. After his signing with TRU, he and his father

Coach Clark says: “Jeff is a really neat guy that he is 6’4” and has guard skills. There are
not too many 6’4” guards out there. Physically he has to improve like all first year players
but I like his size and ability to handle the ball. I like his skills. Two things: experience and
maturing physically are the only things holding him back right now. He has a bright future

TRU WolfPack in Canada West
Coach Clark puts a strong emphasis on not only school work but
community activities as well. The team is very involved in the
community Terry Fox Run and Raise a Reader. They also spend
some time during the holidays at the New Life Mission and run
clinics for young basketball players in the area.
