SAINT PATRICK’S DAY PARADE and CELEBRATION
Saturday, March 19th
Downtown Bremerton (6th & Pacific Ave.)
11 AM-3 PM
The Downtown Bremerton Association puts together
a fun and entertaining parade the Saturday after St.
Patrick’s Day. This parade is one event in Bremerton that
is open for total community involvement. Regardless of
race, creed or color, everyone has just that wee bit of Irish
that comes out in full spirit, whether you’re a dyed-in-thewool Irish person or just Irish-for-the-day, this is one event
you won’t want to miss. Parade starts the celebration
activities and ends on 4th Street for Irish festivities. Visit
www.bremertondowntown.org for more info.

LILLIAN AND JAMES WALKER PARK PROJECT
Pay by credit card and bring your receipt to the first day
of class. NOTE: There is a small convenience fee to register
over the internet.
Funded by a Department of Ecology grant, the
City purchased this .62 acre waterfront parcel to
serve dual-use as both a stormwater Low Impact
Development (L.I.D.) demonstration site and beach
access for the Anderson Cove neighborhood.
Currently under construction and due to be complete
in November, the passive recreation features funded
by a $170k Community Development Block Grant
will include lawn area, walking path, landscaping,
irrigation, beach access, and boulders and logs to
compliment the waterfront surroundings and double
as seating and informal play features. The site is
named for Bremerton civil rights pioneers Lillian and
James Walker.
