Each player takes 4 dominoes. The first player lays a domino in the center. The next player tries to join onto this domino by matching a word to a word that rhymes, e.g. man, pan. If a player can’t make a join, they pick up a domino. Players continue to join a domino or pick up a domino. When there are no more dominoes to pick up a player misses a turn if they can’t put one down. The first player to use all of their dominoes is the winner. Please Note: Dominoes can be placed vertically or horizontally when joining to another domino but cannot be placed over another domino. Rhyming Dominoes Cut and Paste a Challenge for Individuals Print the dominoes onto paper and cut into individual cards. Join the dominoes by matching each word to a word that rhymes, e.g. man, pan. Each player takes 5 dominoes. Players attempt to join their 5 dominoes in a row to make 4 words or 4 matching pairs of antonyms. The first player to do so is the winner. If no players can join all 5 dominoes, players each return one of their dominoes face down with the others and then choose a new domino. Players continue to swap one domino for a new one until one player is able to make 4 words or 4 matching pairs of antonyms with a row of 5 dominoes. The challenge is to make 4 words or 4 matching pairs of antonyms with a row of 5 dominoes. If you can’t join all 5 dominoes, return one of the dominoes face down with the others and then choose a new domino. Continue to do this until you can make a row of 5 dominoes making 4 words or 4 matching pairs of antonyms.
