Follow the footsteps of Spanish explorers to a land of refuge,
where Limestone hills plunge into spring fed canyons and
golden-cheeked warblers and black-capped vireos nest unencumbered.
The endangered songbirds rely on the specialized habitat found
in the Balcones to survive, but they aren’t the only wildlife species

Creek Sports Park. The custom designed, 15,000-foot concrete
in-ground skate park includes a mini bowl, large bowl and modern
street course with coloring, textures, shade and landscaping. When

Elizabeth Milburn Park has something for everyone from the
picnickers to the thrill-seekers. The 42-acre park contains a
playground, trails – including nearly a half mile of the Veloway –
sheltered picnic areas with grills, community gardens, and sports
fields and courts for soccer, basketball, tennis and volleyball.
Those looking to take their outdoor experience up a notch can find
a rush of adrenaline on the BMX track or test their stamina on the
rock-climbing wall.
