Mission: Stimulate continued interest in sports participation and activities within GISD and the Garland, Rowlett and
Sachse communities by:

Honoring individuals who contribute to athletics

Contributing to non-profit youth sports organizations

Providing scholarships to selected high school male and female athletes who have contributed to his/her school
athletic program(s) through:

Excellence in his/her sport

Outstanding academics

Recognizing selected sports teams who have excelled in their particular athletic sport

Awarding the annual Superintendent Cup to the Middle and High School that achieved the highest overall
