W
hen Jimmy Simpson, founder of Num-Ti-Jah Lodge, first came upon
Bow Lake in 1898 he described it as one of the most beautiful places
he’d ever seen. For more than a century thousands of guests, visitors and artists
have agreed with his words.
Num-Ti-Jah Lodge overlooks one of the most dramatic scenes in the Canadian
Rockies. Out of Bow Lake the mountains rise steep and rugged. The blue ice of
Crowfoot Glacier hangs suspended over the turquoise waters. To the west, the
craggy peaks of the Continental Divide tower over the immense Bow Glacier.
A legend of Canadian Rocky Mountain hospitality awaits you in an atmosphere of
secluded tranquility on the shores of beautiful Bow Lake near Lake Louise,
Alberta. Steeped in heritage, our
majestic log lodge invites those
seeking an extraordinary alpine
experience.
We are delighted that you have
considered us to host your event.
Our Group Information Booklet will
provide you with all the information
you need to plan your groups Rocky
Mountain adventure at
Num-Ti-Jah Lodge.
Included you will find a description
of our accommodations and floor
layouts, room rate information, a
description of our Dining Room, a
list of local activities and the terms
and conditions associated with
hosting an event at Num-Ti-Jah
Lodge. Sample menus and wine
lists are available on request as
most menus are created from
scratch to suit each group’s
individual needs.

Guest Accommodations
Our beautiful log and stone Lodge has 16 guest rooms that can accommodate up
to 52 guests comfortably. We offer of occupancy options of Lake View and
Mountain View room, 7 and 9 respectively, which offer both one king and two
queen bed configurations, 6 and 10 respectively, for a total of 26 beds. In
addition, a minimal number of cots are also available. Each room offers its own
unique charm.
Upon request we will supply you with a list of our rooms and their details in order
for you to create your own rooming assignments. Once you return the rooming
list to us it then becomes up to your guests to contact us and provide us with their
payment details, unless the group is managing guests in which case the group
coordinator is responsible for providing payment details.
In order to provide you with the highest level of service we may require that the
Lodge is reserved exclusively for your group. This way we can close off the Lodge
and Dining Room to all other potential guests and focus on making your event
truly memorable. All rooms during your event will be blocked off and allocated to
your guests. The costs for any rooms not occupied or being paid for by a guest
will remain the responsibility of the group.

Room numbers and bed configurations are not guaranteed for groups booking on behalf of
guests, as rooms may be adjusted to meet the overall needs of the group. Group guests
booking individually are booked on a first come first serve basis, therefore room numbers may
not be guaranteed. A limited number of cots are also available for a charge of $15 per cot and
are recommended to be reserved early but are limited to one cot per room, due to fire
regulations.

Elkhorn Dining Room
The Elkhorn Dining Room provides an excellent
setting for your dining experience. The room
offers a warm, relaxed, friendly atmosphere in a
uniquely Canadian Rockies setting
complimented by many heritage regional
animal mounts and a warm fire in the large
stone fireplace. The dining room may be
decorated to incorporate any theme or design
your group may wish to present its guests, in the event the entire lodge is reserved.
Our chefs are ready to take your ideas and create a customized menu to meet the tastes of
your group; while adhering to the group’s budgetary requirements. If you have no ideas, ask
about our sample menus. These menus, along with suggestions from our chefs, are sure to get
your mouth watering and offer a great starting point for creating your own unique menu.
Remember to keep any children who may be dining in mind; typically a separate menu would
be created for them with more child-friendly food items.
In the past we have worked with menus set-up for four, six
and nine course meals. The six and nine course meals
generally include a reception where your guests will be
served a selection of hot canapés and cold hors d’oeurves.
After the reception your guests will join us in the Elkhorn
Dining Room for dinner. The Dining Room can
accommodate up to 90 guests for dinner service.
Menu selections and exact guest numbers will be required
for meal services no later than 30 days prior to your arrival
at the Lodge; along with these details please make sure to
inform us of any food allergy or dietary concerns that your
guests may have.
Sorry no outside or homemade liquor is permitted as per
Alberta Liquor Legislations, except within guest rooms.
