Established in 1954, Rotadex is an independent UK manufacturer
specialising in the design and manufacture of filing and storage
solutions for a wide range of sectors.

Operating from a 50,000 ft2 facility situated 5 minutes from
Birmingham International Airport and the National Exhibition
Centre, Rotadex is within easy reach of the UK national motorway
network. Recent investment has resulted in a facility with design,
manufacturing and distribution facilities interlinked to provide a
flexible and constructive approach to customer requirements.

To complement our range of manilla files, Rotadex is
committed to providing its customers with a cost effective
means of producing bespoke files, wallets and folders. We
have a complete graphic design and manufacturing facility
devoted to production and design. This enables the company
to produce bespoke files, folders and wallets within limited
timescales and budgets.
Rotadex has manufactured a wide range of bespoke and
personalised files for the past 50 years utilising numerous
different materials, inks and fixing methods. Whatever your
requirements for filing products, we are able to design and
manufacture solutions to meet specific requirements. We
have provided filing solutions for museum artefacts, prison
records, CDs, plans, insurance documents, chemicals,
precious stones and numerous other items that require a
robust file. We can also give in depth free advice on filing
methods to help solve a particular filing issue.
In the last decade, Rotadex has provided for one of the
largest government departments in the UK. Delivering over
120 stock items to 600 offices around the UK within a
specified lead time. The files vary from thin file covers to
major presentation files and in volume from 50 through
650,000. We have a delivery ratio of 98.4% on time
and in full.
An example of Rotadex’s manufacturing flexibility is a range
of bespoke files and folders. These include specialist
ledgers handmade to a client’s specification as well as
special files printed, folded and glued to exacting standards.
Investing in specialist equipment allows us to react quickly
to non standard client requests. Our manufacturing team
also has considerable experience in working with clients,
maximising value through the best use of materials and
production processes.
We also make a full range of shelf files complete with clear
acetate tabs. The shelf files can take between one and three
inches of filing capacity and are duplex lined to create
sturdy long lasting files. The tabs can be placed in different
positions and there is the capacity to print inserts for the
tabs to help with the efficient indexing of shelf
filing systems.

Fetch personal mobile storage units are designed specifically for use
within open planned and hot desking environments. Units can store
suspension files, lever arch files, laptops and stationery. A posting box

Mobile Bases
Mobile bases are specifically designed for each
individual project to ensure they meet exact
requirements. A detailed site survey of the proposed
storage area is undertaken and CAD drawings of the
proposed system are provided. Fineline mobile
systems are modular enabling easy installation,
addition and alteration. The mobile base is designed
to sit directly onto any floor surface without the need
for bolts or cementing. If the system needs
relocating this can be completed without damage to
the floor. Fineline mobile units are moved with the
minimum of effort utilising ergonomically designed
hand wheels geared to allow ease of movement.
Hand wheels incorporate safety locks to ensure bays

The Rotadex range of Concept designer cabinets provide a stylish alternative to traditionally
designed lateral filing systems. Concept units have highly refined design features such as
thin edge profiles and sculptured drawer/door fronts.
Designed for use within office environments there are a wide range of sizes and openings
including double-door and combination units, side tambours and pull out drawers.
All Concept units are available in varying heights and widths. The standard depth is 470mm.
There is a choice of internal accessories and a large selection of colours available from the
standard RAL range. Specialist colours can also be mixed to allow interior specifiers to
create corporate colour or interior design schemes.

Rotatrieve
Rotatrieve is a double sided high density storage unit allowing access from two
sides or one side when placed against a wall. An inner double sided shelving
cabinet rotates on a fixed base. The unit is operated by use of a foot pedal which
unlocks the cabinet allowing it to be rotated into position. A key advantage is that
the unit can be locked at the side negating the need for lockable or tambour
doors, making Rotatrieve ideal for secure storage. Once the cabinet is rotated into
a locked position i.e. without the shelves visible, a simple turn of the key on the
right side locks the unit into place. Unit heights are variable.

Rotadex recognises that not every customer’s needs are the same. With a design process that goes full circle, we are
uniquely positioned to offer bespoke products via our in-house product design team. Close integration between sales,
design and manufacturing enables a highly flexible, honest service with straight-forward consultation throughout.
With these facilities all on-site, we retain full control over lead times and costs.
Through the design of our broad portfolio of products, we have extensive experience with many varied materials and
manufacturing processes; allowing us to respond to any special request. Contact us for further information on
