a multi-channel network - France Télévisions Publicité
Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international broadcasting service, started more than 50 years ago as a radio broadcaster
and has since grown into a multimedia enterprise that embraces the latest digital technologies. DW-TV, DW-RADIO and the
online service DW-WORLD.DE produce globally accessible information programming in 30 different languages provided by a
skilled staff of some 1,500 people from more than 60 countries.
DW-TV programming is broadcast world-wide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in German, English, Spanish and Arabic. It serves
the world with news and current affairs from Germany, Europe and the world. With its objective and modern reports as well as
magazine shows, DW-TV offers insights into politics and business, sports and the arts, science, lifestyle and travel, which makes
for compelling viewing. For DW-TV background information belongs in the foreground, thus helping viewers to make sense of
events.
DW-TV programming is beamed across five continents via a global satellite network. Cable services and other broadcasters
provide further distribution. It addresses an international audience, focussing on people with an interest in Germany and Europe,
particularly opinion-shapers and decision-makers, as well as people interested in the German language and Germans living
abroad.

DW-TV ARABIA
From 16:57 UTC until 03:57 UTC DW-TV ARABIA broadcasts its
programmes in Arabic and English. The «Journal» news and the talk shows
«Quadriga» and «Meet Europe» are produced in Arabic; all other programmes
during the Arabic hours are broadcast in German with Arabic subtitles. The
DW-TV ARABIA schedule and content mirrors the DW-TV basic schedule,
which is broadcast in German and English, alternating hourly.
The two hours of Spanish programming are broadcast exclusively on DW-TV
LATEINAMERIKA. Otherwise DW-TV USA and DW-TV LATEINAMERIKA
mirror the DW-TV basic schedule.
DW-TV USA and DW-TV LATINAMERIKA
These channels provide several periods of supplementary programming
in addition to the basic broadcasts. These programmes are shown in
cooperation with Germany’s two other public-service broadcasters ARD and
ZDF.
DW-TV ASIEN and ASIEN+
These channels have been broadcast since March 2009. The difference
between the two channels lies in the fact that the English language is more
dominant on the ASIEN+ feed.
DW-TV EUROPA and DW-TV AFRIKA
These channels were launched in November 2007. Each region will receive
specially-tailored programming suited to its respective local broadcast times.
