The colder
months are
upon us, so
remember
these very important tips!
• If your apartment has
a fireplace, do not keep
decorative items close
to it and always turn it
off when you leave your
home or go to sleep.
• Do not store items near
your water heater. It has
a pilot flame and needs
air circulating around it
to operate properly.
• After drying a load
of laundry, remember
to clean out your lint
screen. This will not
only reduce the chance
of fire, but your clothes
will dry faster!
Pool
Reminders:
The pool is for residents
only with a limit of 2 guests,
unless approved by a manager.
The pool closes at 10 pm, and
may not be propped open for
non-residents. No glass containers, pets, or horseplay in
the pool area.
Please follow the pool rules
so that we can all continue to
enjoy the pool. Thank you!
National Alzheimer's
Disease Month
Alzheimer’s disease is a brain
disorder that effects memory and
thinking abilities. Most people
with Alzheimer’s first see symptoms in their mid-60s.
Alzheimer’s is the most common
form of dementia, which is a
general term for memory loss
and other intellectual abilities
serious enough to interfere with
daily life.
• Alzheimer’s disease accounts
for 50-80% of dementia
cases.
• Alzheimer’s disease has no
known cure or prevention.
• Only a PET scan, can reveal
whether somebody has Alzheimer’s.
• Sadly, Alzheimer’s is the sixth
leading cause of death in the
U.S.
