2016 International Health Conference - Programme
Welcome
Professor Ewan Ferlie, Conference Chair
I am pleased to welcome you to the International
Health Conference 2016, held here at King’s College
London.
The Conference, the second in its series after its
launch at the University of Oxford last year, was
established by academics from universities in Oxford
and London health research networks. Our aim over
the next three days is to bring together researchers who aim to promote health and
wellbeing through improved health services in Europe and around the world.
There are a number of exciting keynote sessions, including a panel on the
challenges and opportunities of health research, as well as world-leading
perspectives on issues ranging from mental health to systems reform, from
community care to intervention. These, plus the more than 160 oral and poster
presentations from experts across 40 different countries, will highlight the link
between research and practice by gathering together a truly international range of
papers on health and health services research.
We hope that you will enjoy contributing to what is an exciting new opportunity to
develop research networks and encourage the uptake of research and evidence
based innovations in all areas of science that contribute to health and wellbeing
through better health services.
I look forward to meeting and connecting with you in the days ahead.
Yours,
