Getting to the venue

Fire Road 24 on the A1065 Mundon Road, Weeting, north of Brandon. Nearest postcode = IP27 0RE. Once you are on Fire Road 24
please continue until you reach the car parking signage. Car parking marshals will direct you where to park.
Car parking will be available. Thank you in advance for respecting the volunteer marshals who will do their best to manage this
situation.
Podiums and Prizes
Estimated time for podiums:
•Morning races @ 1pm onwards (as soon as the U12 race finishes)
•Afternoon races @ 4:00pm onwards
Event Podium Prizes:
Each category will receive a prize from one of our sponsors. The specific
prizes will rotate around the categories at each event so to avoid anyone
getting the same prize twice.
Prizes include goodie bags from Torq and Sussed Out Cycles
Additional Notes
• If this is your first MSG: Eastern Region event for 2016 you will be supplied with a new number board
on the day. Please report to registration when your arrive.
•Retain your number board for future MSG events a replacement will cost you £10.
• To find out who else has pre-registered log onto the website @
• There is no free water available on the course / event village. Please bring your own supply of water.
• All riders must be wearing an appropriate helmet, be riding a MTB and have bar end plugs.
• Timing is being managed by Time Laps. There will be an interactive screen displaying real time results on the day,
but for a full break down log onto www.timelaps.co.uk on the Monday after the event.
• Please respect the other races and not practice when others are racing. Green flag = course open Red flag =
course closed!
Rule Changes
New Rules For Old
Rule 6.11.5 states Ignorance of the regulations is not admitted as an excuse.

There are three sets of rules which apply, which are the Commissaire is always right, the General Cross-Discipline Regs, and the Mountain Biking
Rulebook. For those who can’t be faddled to read the latter two, we’ve selected a few points that you might or might not know not necessarily or where
they have changed.
3.1.1 ……………….. bar end plugs are compulsory.....PLEASE make sure you have them in.
7.5 Feed/Technical Assistance Zones
We will continue with one Feed/Tech Zone on every course. This will generally, where the venue allows, be placed in the vicinity of the event arena with
the start and finish of the zone being marked with MSG Technical Zone flags.
Cameras: Whilst there does not appear to be a specific ruling on it we are advised that Cameras will only be allowed on a bar mounting and then only in
practice. This is such a changeable and contentious issue our best advice would be that if you don't want your race day messed up don't use one.
Drones: We are also advised that drones will not be allowed at British Cycling events without prior written permission form BC HQ. You can guarantee
that starts will be delayed and racing may be brought a halt if drones are above an event.
Timing Chips: We often have riders arrive with a timing chip or more from a previous event somewhere about them. These chips continue operating for
a very long time.... the ones on your number board do a whole season with no problem for example. That being the case you will present false readings
on every lap for the number that you had in that previous event. It causes havoc, so please make sure you remove them from your kit if you don't want to
risk the disapproval of the guys from Timelaps, (who, lets face it, will be in charge of your results at most reputable MTB events.......just saying.....).
