Check out photos from the event here. ________________________________________ Niagara’s nursing program received some wonderful news: Its programs have been reaccredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The 10-year accreditation pertains to all of Niagara’s nursing programs, which include a B.S. in nursing, an RN-to-B.S. post-associate completion program, and an accelerated B.S. in nursing. Read more. ________________________________________ On Dec. 6, Niagara’s Gallagher Court was officially named for Frank, ’55, and Barbara Layden. You can view videos and photos of the festivities here. In addition, a “Legacy Panel” with Layden, Calvin Murphy, ’70, Hubie Brown, ’55, M.S.Ed.’59, and writer Dick Weiss was held prior to the game. Emily Kraus, ’04: A Dream Come True Emily Kraus, ’04, grew up watching her grandmother, mother and aunts cook and host parties, dreaming of a career in which she could entertain others in a similar fashion. That dream came true – today, she is operations manager for Wolfgang Puck Catering. Read Emily’s story here. ______________________________ NEWS FROM YOUR ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT TEAM Niagara’s alumni came through for #GivingTuesday, Dec. 2, donating cash and nonperishables that were delivered to Heart, Love & Soul food pantry in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A special thanks to the alumni who work at Praxair (left), who collected 10 bags of food for the cause: James Fort, ’12 MBA’14, Amanda Winkler, ’14, Erika Rogozinski, ’12, Doug Stire, ’13, and Timothy Lavallee, ’10. ______________________________ Alumni from chapters across the country gathered to watch the dedication of the Frank, ’55, and Barbara Layden court in the Gallagher Center before the NU vs. Canisius game.
