GENERAL INFORMATION
• KKLED products are guaranteed against defects in manufacture - Please refer to warranty information for details.
• KKLED products must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the relevant installation
instructions and all applicable local regulations or standards.
• KKLED products must be installed as supplied. Modifications will invalidate warranty.
• KKLED is not responsible for any consequences arising from improper product handling, storage or installation.
• KKLED products must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all relevant installation instructions and all applicable
local regulations or standards. ( Improper installation can create an electrical hazard with risk of electric shock, fire or injury )
• KKLED will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from improper product handling, storage or installation.
• KKLED products are guaranteed against defects in manufacture.
• KKLED products must be installed as supplied. Disassembly, modification or attempted repair will invalidate warranty. The Warranty

PRODUCT CARE / HANDLING
• KKLED products are delivered in appropriate packaging. Any handling instructions on the packaging must be observed.
Products should remain in packaging ‘as delivered’ for ongoing transportation or storage.
• For installation please observe stated IP ratings.
• KKLED products should not be exposed to excessive mechanical stress during handling or installation. In particular note that
KKLED strips and modules are precision electrical components and not designed to withstand tensile or compressive stresses.
• Excessive mechanical stress may lead to damage or destruction of connections or the components. Please see product specific
• information for details.
• Please ensure standard ESD ( Electrostatic discharge ) protection measures are employed when handling and installing
LED modules.
ELECTRICAL / INSTALLATION
• Safe and reliable operation of KKLED products can only be guaranteed when used in conjunction with suitable power
•supplies and / or control gear.
• Any power supplies and control gear used with KKLED products and not supplied by KKLED must provide
- Short circuit protection.
- Overload protection.
- Over temperature protection.
- Compliance with all necessary local and international safety standards & regulations.
• When connecting LED products to a power supply or driver, ensure that correct polarity is observed.
Positive (+) red
Negative (-) black
(Note - does not apply to single colour KKLED Quadro / Duo Luna which feature reversible polarity.)
• A power supply with the correct DC voltage must be used with KKLED strip and LED luminaires.
ELECTRICAL / INSTALLATION
• Products must only be installed in locations appropriate to their IP rating.
• Products must only be installed and operated in areas with ambient temperatures within the given range in the relevant
specification and installation documents.
• Installation must be carried out in accordance with published mounting instructions using only recommended tools,
fixings and accessories.
• For safe and reliable operation KKLED products must only be used with suitable KKLED supplied or recommended power supplies
and control gear.
• Any power supplies and control gear used with KKLED products and not supplied by KKLED must provide...
Regulated output voltage not exceeding the operating voltage of the product
- Short circuit protection.
- Overload protection.
- Over temperature protection.
- Compliance with all necessary local and international safety standards & regulations.
• Electrical connections to products should be made with power turned off and all wiring and connections should be checked
thoroughly before power is switched on. and particular care is taken to not confuse any control wires with power wiring.
Do not remove any supplied product cable labels.
• Cables used for connecting KKLED products must be of a suitable type and recommended gauge. Cable insulation must remain
undamaged and conductors free from dirt and corrosion.
• Control cables should be of a suitable shielded type and not fixed in proximity to high voltage power cables or other sources
of electromagnetic interference.
• Remove only the minimum of cable insulation necessary to make wiring connections to eliminate the possibility of short circuit.
• Connections between cables should be made with terminal blocks and cable junctions adequately protected against water
immersion or moisture ingress with suitable tapes and sealants, potting compounds and IP rated junction boxes as appropriate
to the installation and operating conditions.
• When connecting LED products to a power supply or driver, ensure that correct polarity is observed.

PRODUCT CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• KKLED products are designed to be maintenance free however periodic and careful use of a soft dry cloth may be desirable for
removal of any accumulated dust from the emitting surface of luminaires.
• Ensure that organic solvents and caustic or corrosive cleaning chemicals do not come into contact with KKLED products. For
example DO NOT USE - Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Acetone, Carbon tetrachloride, Gasoline, Ether Sodium /Calcium hydroxide,
Sodium Carbonate.
• For cleaning or sanitization - products in sealed IP rated housings may be wiped with a soft cloth dampened with an alcohol
cleaner or with cool, soft water diluted (5% or less) bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite) solution.
WARRANTY
KKLED believes we produce a superior product, and that your investment should be rewarded with years of trouble-free operation.
Due to a rigorous in-house manufacturing and testing program, we are confident that your LED product should be free of defect,
and operate as intended.
1. Duration of the Warranty
This warranty applies to all KKLED modules and the warranty period is 5 years from the date of installation (or date of manu
facture if installation date is not known or available or verifiable).
2. Repair / Replacement
Should a KKLED Module fails to operate for the specified warranty period, KKLED will on its sole discretion, provide a free
replacement, or repair defective components in accordance with the terms below. The purchasers bear the costs for demounting
and remounting as well as for sending in and returning products. Any other costs, including but not limited to replacement costs
upon installation, costs caused from failures of the installation or other damages and/or consequential damages are not covered
by this warranty. As a result of technical progress driven by KKLED’s Research and Development program, and the rate of change
in global LED Lighting sector as a whole; Improvements to the product range are constant and on-going. This may result in any
replacement product being superior quality, including the possibility of higher luminous output.
3. Return of defective Product
The defective product shall be returned by the purchaser claiming the warranty immediately in order to check the validity of the
claim. Proof of purchase may be required. The purchaser shall contact KKLED (or their authorised representative) immediately
for instruction on where to send defective product if required. KKLED reserve the right to conduct diagnostic examination of
any defective or failed product to determine the cause of failure and patterns of usage and reserve the right to be the sole judge
as to whether any these products are defective and covered under this warranty. (e.g. if any failure is as a result of the incorrect
voltage being applied.)
• Warranty will not apply in the event of;
- ‘Constant Voltage’ (CV) Led Products being supplied with incorrect voltage.
- ‘Constant Current’ (CC) LED products being supplied with incorrect current.
- Installation of LED product into ‘abnormal’ conditions, including but not limited to:
Installation where ambient Temperature in excess of 60Deg C.
Installation with excessive humidity.
Installation where LED is subjected to excessive mechanical stress (eg. Bending) or physical damage.
Inadequate heat sinking of any ‘bare PCB’ type LED product supplied.
IP67 class luminaires installed in locations without adequate drainage, thus being ‘permanently immersed’.
- Unauthorised modification of the product – (e.g. cutting with hacksaw, wire cutters, drop saw or similarly inappropriate equipment)
- Failure to properly install, operate or maintain the product(s) in accordance with the published installation, handling manual
and Cautions provided with the product(s).
- The product(s) is(are) installed by any installer which is not qualified.
- The product(s) is(are) modified, disassemble and repaired by third party, not by KKLED factory.
- Maintaining using improper chemical compounds/solvents.
- Abuse, alteration, accident, fire, flood, lightning, rodents, insects, negligence or acts of God.
- Use of non-factory authorized parts or accessories and products of other companies in conjunction with the product(s).
- Chemical contamination of combustion air or improper use of sanitizing chemicals or damage from sea wind or Salt-attack.
- Overheating; incorrect wire runs; improper electrical supply; collateral damage caused by improper cutting and connection of wire.
- The product(s) which has(have) damaged label, such as Cable label and Certificate label which has serial number.
- The products which have been moved from their original installation sites.
This warranty does not constitute any inference as to the suitability of any product for any purpose. In no event shall KKLED be
liable for any other costs or damages including lost profits, incidental, special or consequential damages.

6. Implied Terms
7.1 Subject to sub-clause 7.2, any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied is excluded.
7.2 Where legislation implies any condition or warranty, and that legislation avoids or prohibits provisions in a contract excluding
or modifying the application of or exercise of or liability under such condition or warranty, the condition or warranty shall be
deemed to be included in this warranty. However the liability of KKLED for any breach of such condition or warranty shall be
limited, at the option of KKLED, to the following:
(a) if the breach relates to any KKLED module:
(i) the replacement or the supply of equivalent LED product;
(ii) repair of LED product (excluding costs of removal and installation);
(iii) payment of the cost of replacement or of acquiring equivalent LED product; or
(iv) payment of the cost of repair of LED product (excluding costs of removal and installation); and
4. Notes / Conditions of Warranty
This warranty covers solely product defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty applies only when KKLED Modules are
properly installed and wired in accordance with installation instructions and/or data sheets, and connected to KKLED approved
devices. (e.g. Power supply unit / PWM Dimmers / DMX control equipment) and relevant local electrical safety standards.
