the warranty on your BMW?

Manufacturer’s warranty runs out. If there any lapses
between your warranty periods, the extended warranty
scheme will not be available to you.
What does the warranty cover?
We believe that the BMW Warranty is finest and most
extensive of its type available.
Designed to protect your investment and reduce your cost
of ownership, the BMW Warranty even guarantees:
• Your vehicle’s battery and exhaust system for 12 months.
•And also includes 12 months NCT Cover that protects
you against the unexpected costs that might arise
from NCT test failure.
The maximum claims liability covered by the BMW Warranty
is unlimited up to the purchase price paid for the vehicle,
inclusive of VAT and also covers you while travelling in Europe.
In fact, the BMW warranty is so comprehensive, so close
to our new car warranty, we thought it would be more
helpful to list those few items it does not cover – rather
than all those that it does. The BMW Warranty covers
all factory fitted mechanical and electrical components.
The only items not covered by the comprehensive
BMW Warranty are:
•Brake and clutch facings, discs and drums, suspension
components, bulbs and fuses, channels and guides,
weather strips and seals, handles, hinges and check
straps, trim, upholstery and cosmetic finishes, wheels
and tyres, wiper blades and arms, glass, auxiliary
drive belts, coolant and fuel hoses, the cleaning and
adjustment of any component and all service items
that will require periodic replacement.
•NCT test or repairs which are not completed within 30 days
of the issue of an NCT inspection form failing the vehicle
for its NCT test Vehicles registered from 01 January 2004,
are covered by a twelve-year BMW Anti-Corrosion Warranty.

Does the Warranty include any other benefits?
Yes. All BMW warranties include NCT Cover,
BMW Emergency Service and Emergency Accident
Management.
How long does the Warranty last?
Your BMW Warranty lasts for 12 months.
Is the Warranty renewable?
4.BMW Group reserves the right to inspect the vehicle
and examine damaged parts.
5.No claims will be considered where any damages or
loss can be claimed under any other warranty
or insurance.
6.Failure caused by gradual reduction in the operating
performance of a covered part, commensurate with
its age and mileage, is not covered.
Yes. Provided that your car is serviced in accordance
with BMW recommendations, you will be invited to renew
the warranty every 12 months.
7.This warranty will not be cover any loss, damage
or failure caused wholly or partially, from the lack
of maintenance, abuse or neglect or as a result of
accident. It will not cover pre-existing faults.
How do I make a claim?
8.The quality of warranty repairs will be the
responsibility of the repairing dealer.

your nearest Authorised BMW dealer who will administrate
the claim on your behalf. All repairs must be completed by
an Authorised BMW Dealer.
What must I do to keep the warranty valid?
The terms and conditions of the warranty listed below
must be adhered to, failure to do so may result in the
rejection of a claim or the termination of your warranty
cover. This does not affect your statutory rights.
1.You are required to comply with the service schedule
recommended by BMW Group. All service work must
be carried out by an Authorised BMW Dealer using
only BMW Approved Parts. Your BMW Service Booklet
should be stamped, dated and detailed with the correct
mileage at the time of service by the servicing dealer.
2.Your warranty may be invalidated if you continue to
drive when a fault becomes apparent. Please refer to
your owner’s handbook.
3. T
here is no provision under this warranty for any refund or
part refund to be made. Any balance of Warranty may be
transferred from a private owner to another private owner.
9.This warranty will not cover any liability for death,
bodily injury, or damage to property or any
consequential loss or damage. However, it will
cover consequential damage as a result of a failure
of a covered part.
10.This warranty may not cover any vehicle that has
been subject to alterations, has had experimental
equipment fitted or has in any way been modified
from the manufacturer’s approved specification.
11.Vehicles used for courier services, competitions or
racing of any kind are not covered by this warranty.
12. G
eographical limits – Republic of Ireland, United
Kingdom and Continental Europe.
Continental Europe is defined as: Andorra,
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic,
Denmark (excluding the Faeroe Islands), Finland
(excluding Aland), France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece,
Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Luxemburg, Netherlands,
Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino,
Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (excluding the Balearic
Islands but not the Canary Islands), Sweden,
Switzerland and Turkey.
