The Mystery of the Pyramids
with Dr. Regina T. Gilbert
Friday, August 12 at 12:30pm
Unravel the greatest mysteries of all time and learn
why Egyptian pyramids were built, who built them and
how were they were built.
with Ira Epstein
Although we often remember their slapstick and sight gags, most of the
Marx Brothers best-loved films were actually musicals
or made use of music as a large part of their humor.
The brothers’ comedic style was chaotic and absurd,
with lots of word play, pantomime and satire often
staged in musical numbers. As it stood, they weren’t
just comedians—The Marxes were genuine entertainers.
Through the use of audiovisual clips this lecture will
explore their use of music to make us laugh.
Over There! presented by Barry Rivadue

In recognition of the 100th Anniversary of America’s

M. Cohan, a Kings Point resident. This program
explores through imagery and music how Long Island
