Alden’s Quality Assurance Program Featured Network News Supporting Alden’s Communities Nursing Student Thanks Alden for Educational Support Provider Magazine, the leading go-to source for the latest news and information about post-acute and long-term care, recently featured Alden’s Quality Assurance Program in a two-page article. Alden was one of several businesses to partner with the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce in providing scholarships to local college students. Jo Petruncio, director of business development for Alden, joined Lauren at a Scholarship Breakfast on June 12, which recognized the shortterm rehabilitation center and other businesses for their contributions. Lakeview Food Pantry Welcomes New Faces Staff from Alden Lincoln Park in Chicago recently spent an afternoon at the Lakeview Food Pantry unpacking boxes of food as well as sorting and stocking. After meeting Carrie McCormack, Lakeview Pantry West coordinator, and learning about the Food Pantry’s mission, Alden Lincoln Park Administrator Allison Pease immediately committed to an ‘Alden Day’ at the pantry. The Lakeview Food Pantry distributes 1.5 millions pounds of food per year. Alden Lincoln Park, which specializes in short-term rehabilitation, is just blocks away from one of the Pantry’s two locations. The Alden Network LEADER Summer 2014 Alden Facilities Recognized as “The Best” by U.S. News & World Report Many Alden facilities are celebrating being ranked as one of the ‘best’—some for the second and third time! Orland Park Sportsplex. 2014 U.S. News & World Report has released its 2014 rankings in the U.S. Eight Alden facilities have received the recognition as being ‘the best.’ They include: Alden Des Plaines Alden Estates of Barrington 2 consecutive years Clothing Drive Brings Community Together Alden Estates of Orland Park in Orland Park teamed up with organizations in Tinley Park and Orland Park for the first 2014 Spring Clean Stream. The clothing drive benefited the clients of Together We Cope, which helps individuals during a temporary crisis by providing food, shelter, clothing and referrals.
