ON THIS EVER POPULAR TOUR
Our most popular tour has just become better! We take you
to three of Iceland’s best-loved sites: the Geysir geothermal
area, the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, and the geological
and historical wonder that is Þingvellir National Park.
In addition to the Geysir multimedia show we are proud to
include an exciting stop on this tour: the Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where we see and learn how they
are using geothermal energy to grow vegetables
in greenhouses.

A HUGELY POPULAR
TOUR THAT HAS JUST
BECOME BETTER!
The Golden Circle needs little introduction for it includes
some of Iceland’s most stunning sites; Þingvellir, Gullfoss
and Geysir. Þingvellir National Park is a historical and
geological wonder where the American and Eurasian
tectonic plates pull the country apart at a rate of a few
centimetres per year.
At Geysir geothermal area, we will see the hot spring
Strokkur shoot a column of water up to 30 m (98 ft.)
into the air every 4-8 minutes - A thrilling experience
that never gets old.
Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall is a three-step waterfall filled with melt water from Langjökull glacier and
tumbles in to a 32 m (105 ft.) deep crevice.
Additionally, we visit the Friðheimar greenhouse
cultivation centre, where we learn about the magic
behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes
and cucumbers with the aid of geothermal heat
which Iceland has in abundance.

THE MAGIC OF
SNÆFELLSNES!
The Wonders
of Snæfellsnes
The Snæfellsnes peninsula in west Iceland is almost
a miniature version of the island. In addition to its
characteristic Snæfellsjökull glacier, there are black
sandy beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and
volcanic craters. On this tour, we will for example stop
at the small fishing village Arnarstapi, stop for lunch in
the ancient fishing village Hellnar, visit Djúpalónssandur
beach and Kirkjufell Mountain.
The stunning landscape of the peninsula has captured
the imagination of people all over the world, ever
since Jules Verne wrote the famous science fiction
novel “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” but the
journey begins at Snæfellsjökull glacier.

The northern lights are caused by the interaction of
particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere
near the North Pole. That creates this wonderful
