What is a cyanotype?
A cyanotype is a photographic print in white on a blue background made on
light-sensitized paper or cloth. A print is made by layering objects over the
sensitized material and exposing it to the sun or a UV light source.
Each panel is hand-printed by Sylvia Pippen. The sashiko stitches are also
printed onto the fabric. Kit includes sashiko instructions

Based on my Tropical Sashiko Sampler Quilt, the TROPICAL HEXAGON CENTERPIECE was whipped up by my mother, Kitty Pippen. Six of the original flower
designs have been simplified with the addition of a new flower, the Hong Kong
Orchid.
Includes 7 Full-Size Patterns & Assembly Instructions.
*The flowers in this design differ in size and appearance from those in the Tropical
Flower Series. There is no fabric kit for this design or for each individual flower.
Individual flower patterns are not sold separately.
