Buckeye Bonanza!
Come play, explore and learn all about Buckeye’s hidden
secrets and treasures in our action packed adventure camp.
6/22 - Crazy Field Day
Morning Activities: Ice Breakers, name games, fun outdoor games and wild games
Lunch: Picnic Bag lunch at the Falls Trail and splash party
Afternoon Activities: wonderfully wild indoor games
Bring: Swimsuit, towel, hiking shoes, sunscreen
snack: cinnamon toast pretzels
6/23 - Balloon Sports by the Lake
Morning activities: Wide variety of balloon sports, be prepared to get soaked!
Lunch: Bag Lunch by the lake
Afternoon activities: water balloon fun and slip and slide
snack: watermelon
Bring: Swimsuit, towel, hiking shoes, sunscreen
6/24 - Field Hockey
morning activities: Wacky Sock day, learn the world of field hockey with coach perry
lunch: bag lunch
AFternoon activities: crazy twist on our favorite sports
snack: nutella fruit dip
bring: closed toe shoes, water, sunscreen
6/25 - Bike Rodeo and let’s volley
morning activities: Special guest magic cycles and bike demo day
lunch: bag lunch
afternoon activities: variety of volley sports, frisbee challenges
snack: ice pops
bring: if you have your bike and helmet, please bring, if not...no worries!
6/26 - Ready for the Master’’s field trip
drop-off: Gravel lot beside brick-oven (call 828-387-3003 for questions or directions)
morning activities: field games and hunt, mini-golf at brick-oven
Lunch: brick-oven pizza, $5/person
afternoon activities: disc golf at beech resort and chairlift rides
pick-up: outside of magic cycles at ski resort

mountain survivor
Outwit, Outplay, Outlast your fellow survivor
campers. Non-stop fun and wilderness challenges await. Test
your outdoor skills and earn the right to claim you’re
a Buckeye Survivor.

Morning Activities: special guest sean mcnay will teach us about orienteering and
survival in the wilderness
Lunch: bag lunch
Afternoon Activities: ultimate survival challenges and test what you’ve learned
snack: build your own granola mix
Bring: hiking shoes, sunscreen, water
6/30 - linville caverns and linville falls field trip
Drop-off at EMO Base Lot (across from Town hall at 9:00)
Morning activities: Explore the caverns and hike to the amazing linville falls
Lunch: Spear’s bbq
Bring: Money for caverns ($8) and Lunch ($8)
7/1 - Take Cover!
morning activities: Survival Shelter buildings challenges and camp fire basics
lunch: Tin Foil Baked Potatoes

7/7 - Tubing the Nile (new River) Field Trip
Drop-off at EMO Base Lot (across from Town hall at 9:00)
Morning activities: enjoy the mountain sun while tubing the new river
Lunch: Bag Lunch

7/8 - Thinking Japanese
drop-off at Boone bowl-o-rama at 9:45
morning activities: Bowl-o-Rama fun
lunch: Traditional japanese (Sesame Chicken)

Protect and Serve
Wildlife is precious in the High Country. Learn about
State and local efforts to preserve and protect our
Natural treasures and participate in a live trout stocking.
7/13 - Fire Station Day Field Trip
Drop off at fire station# 2, 513 st. Andrews rd
Morning Activities: Tour the fire station and learn about fire safety with
Fire Chief Bob pudney

Afternoon Activities: Playground fun and tree golf while hiking to buckeye

7/14 - Buckeye fish stocking with special guest Kevin hining from NC wildlife
Morning activities: hook and cook, stock the lake and explore fishing at its finest
Lunch: grilled fish and veggies
Afternoon activities: Lakeside games and scavenger hunt
Snack: Goldfish

7/15 - Grandfather Mountain state Park field trip

Morning actives: Explore the animals of the high country with habitat specialist

Campers reflect on their summer experience, pack a time
capsule and create a fun farewell event for friends and family.

7/28 - wahoos rafting adventure
