vr360 adapter - PhotoShip One
VR360 ADAPTER
ASSEMBLY & SETUP
e VR360 Adapter allows you to mount the VR360 to your helicopter. e VR360 Adapter
incorporates four Lord vibration isolators. ere are three levels of Lord isolators, Hard,
Medium, and Soft. e VR360 Adapter comes standard with Soft Lord isolators.
Medium and Hard Lord isolators can be purchased as options.
e Lord isolators do a tremendous job of isolating motor, transmission, and
main/tail rotor vibrations from the VR360, however, it is VERY important that
your helicopter be tuned and as vibration free as possible for best results.
Center of Gravity (C.G.) adjustment is critical in a 360 degree
underslung camera mount. e VR360 Adapter allows for foreaft C.G. adjustment by sliding bearing blocks in slots. e
bearing blocks slip over the 10mm pan shaft of the VR360. By
sliding the bearing blocks fore-aft, the position of the VR360 in
relation to the helicopter is adjusted. is allows you to
accurately determine the C.G. of the helicopter/VR360
assembly.

Assembly of the VR360 Adapter is straight forward and should take no longer than 20 minutes.
Screw the Lord vibration isolators to the side plates with M3x8 screws and
locknuts. It is important to note the orientation of the isolators when
mounted to the side plates. See the drawing on the next page for
clarification. Also, make sure you assemble a left and right side of the
plates.
Next, screw the 140 tooth aluminum main gear #0110 to a #0040 bearing
block with M3x12 screws. e gear is screwed to the bearing block with
the flush side of the gear facing away from the bearing block. Use thread
locker. NOTE-Early production versions are slightly different in this
step and assembly at the factory has already been completed.
Next, attach the bearing blocks to the plates with the the screws,
G10 clamping plates and aluminum spacers. Due to the many
various widths of helicopters, the bearing blocks are a standard
width (54mm) and spacers are used to take up the difference
between the width of the bearing blocks and the width of the
helicopter. Be sure to use thread locker on the bearing block screws
once you establish the proper C.G. location of the bearings in the
slots. See exploded view drawing on next page for details.
Now, attach the assembled VR360 Adapter to your helicopter with the supplied M3x22 screws.
Once the VR360 Adapter is attached to your helicopter you are ready to install the helicopter/Adapter onto
the VR360. See the drawings on the following pages for details.
