Overview
Sea of clouds, sunrise and mountain train are the famous
wonders of Alishan National Scenic Area. Alishan is also the
top visit place during spring season because of its cherry
blossom. Alishan has the largest cherry blossom area in
Taiwan that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the
world.
Our first stop will take you to visit Fenquihu, where is the
transmit spot for mountain train in the old times for logging
and transfer woods. We will try out the authentic bento box
for lunch at Fenquihu. After lunch, tour guide will bring you to
the best spots to watch cherry blossom. We will check out at
Zhaoping Park , The Sister Pond, Alishan Police Station,
Alishan House and Alishan Work Station.
Besides cherry blossom, we will not miss out the famous sea
of cloud in Alishan as well. In the next early morning around 4
am, we will take mountain train to Zhushan Station and watch
the magnificent sunrise view. After that, we will head to
Yuyupas to experience Taso tribe culture and back to Taipei
and finish the tour.
Highlights
Fenqihu Old street
A small town consisting of low, wooden buildings built into the
mountainside at an altitude of 1,400 meters, Fenqihu marks the midpoint
of the Alishan Forest Railway. Famous for its natural rock formations,
mountain streams, forests, and ruins of a Shinto temple, the town is also
well-known for its food products such as bamboo shoots, aiyu jelly, and
the bento boxes once sold to railway passengers.
Alishan Forest Recreation Area
The Alishan National Scenic Area is a mountain resort and natural
preserve located in the mountains of Chiayi County in Taiwan. It includes,
among other things, mountain wilderness, four villages, waterfalls, high
altitude tea plantations, the Alishan Forest Railway, and several hiking
trails. Perhaps best known for its sunrises, one can observe the sun ascent
from a sea of clouds in the area between Alishan and Yüshan on a
morning of suitable climate.
Zhaoping Park ,The Sister Pond (cherry blossom spot)
The best spots for cherry blossoms in Alishan include Zhaoping Park , The
Sister Pond, Alishan Police Station, Alishan House and Alishan Work
Station. You are able to indulge in a world of romance embraced by
fascinating pink and white cherry blossoms for your Alishan tour.
Yuyupas Tsou Tribe
The YuYuPas , Tsou Cultural Tribe Par is located at about 1,300 meters above
sea level in the mountainous Alishan area and is surrounded by extensive tea
gardens. YuYuPas means "very rich" originating from the Tsou language This
tribe was established in 2010, offering Tsou’s tribe culture, cuisine and
dancing performances. Not only enjoy the beauty of Alishan , but also
experience the tribe culture of Tsou.
