Education, Children’s and Cultural Services, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ HOUSE open studios Welcome to ARThouse Open Studios 2013 – a celebration of the vast creative talent that exists within the borough of Richmond upon Thames. Over the last two weekends in June, up to 500 artists will open the doors to their homes, studios, gardens, classrooms and businesses to showcase a wide range of artwork created in the local area. This year is the 18th open studios festival and features the widest range of artists, artist groups and venues yet, showcasing everything from painting and printmaking, ceramics and jewellery to fashion, found objects and photography. Do take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to meet local artists and learn about their artistic processes in their own unique environments across the borough. Summertime is a wonderful time of year in Richmond and we hope visitors will get out and about to explore new neighbourhoods, discover local artistic talent and new creative communities. All ARThouse venues are free so why not venture a little further and visit one or two additional studios? Check in at five or more ARThouse exhibitions and you are eligible to enter a prize draw to win £100 to spend with an ARThouse artist of your choice. Simply fill in and return the form in this brochure to enter. Many of this year’s participating artists have also submitted a piece of their work to the ARThouse exhibition which runs 1 June-27 July at the Riverside Gallery in Richmond, showcasing the full range of artistic talent on offer as part of this year’s open studios. We encourage you to visit the exhibition alongside the individual venues, and hope you have an enjoyable time seeing the work and meeting the creators that make Richmond upon Thames such a creative and inspiring place to work, visit and live in.
