The old model company Pyro, issued a series of early aircraft in 1/48 scale almost half a century
ago. These kits are well detailed and a lot of fun to build. When Pyro went out of business, Life
Like reissued them under their label. The only other company to make these types of aircraft was
Renwal, however they issued them in 1/72 scale. This kit was built out of the box and it was
rigged using nylon sewing thread painted with a black indelible marker. Testors model master
enamel paint were used to paint and detail the model. For reference I used the 1960’s movie
“Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines”. Many of the Pyro/Life Like kits
represented aircraft used in this movie.
