Notes
The FinKey system is to be installed exclusively in accordance with
the present Installation instructions.
We point out that these Installation instructions are an element in
the certification of the lock by the VdS. Failure to observe these
instructions will invalidate both that certification and any guarantee entitlements.
• Modifications to the FinKey system can cause malfunctions. Never make any changes to the system.
• The key-operated lock is to be secured with four M6 steel screws
and the corresponding lock washers. The fastening screws may
be tightened down to maximum torque of 10 Nm.
• The locking bolt must move easily when positioned for installation. It may not be subjected to, tension or pressure.
• The breakout segment in the back of the lock case may not be
concealed by any other components.
• No lubricants or other materials may be permitted to enter the
fingertip scanner, junction box or lock.
• The key must not be canted when it is inserted into the lock; never apply force. Be sure to observe this when installing and adjusting the lock on the door of the cabinet.
• The FinKey system may be opened only by the manufacturer or
by persons authorized by the manufacturer to do so.
• We recommend having the FinKey system installed only by
authorized personnel as the safe’s certification could otherwise
be invalidated.
• The safe may be used only indoors.

Putting into service / Factory setting (Figs. 11 – 14)

Red and blue slide switch
Before putting the FinKey into service, an unequivocal connection
will have to be made between the fingertip scanner and the junction box. To make this connection, actuate the red and blue slide
switch inside the junction box. Wait for 60 seconds and then return
the slide switch to its original position.

IMPORTANT! Reset the fingertip scanner to the factory setting
before closing the cabinet door (see page 3 of the instruction
manual).
It might otherwise be impossible to open the cabinet.
