1. INDUSTRY RELEVANT
In each programme we offer, we asked our industry network - “What are those 100 key skills
that a person needs to know for you to hire him/her, or setup their own agency?” Those skills
became lectures, which we mapped against global curriculum – and made an industry ready
course!
2. EXPERIENCE TRANSFER APPROACH
Training is done by industry professionals who share their real life experiences and case studies
relevant to the region. 100% industry faculty is like attending a professional seminar every
day.
3. INDUSTRY NETWORK
With a network of over 200 industry professionals as faculty sharing their experiences, EMDI is
the best place to network and secure your career.
4. LIVE PROJECTS AND INTERNSHIPS
As part of the curriculum; students have the chance to work on structured internships with
agencies and over 100 live events during the course.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
5. STUDENT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
Activities are undertaken throughout the year to ensure an all-round development of skills of a

has a defined training presentation, which is accessible online to ensure students get practical
& locally relevant study material.

This leads to an excellent multi-cultural learning environment. Also EMDI students range
from the age group 18 to 45 as both young students and working professionals take this
course. This unique blend of youthful passion and experience again ensures a well rounded
learning environment.
We have found the standard of the
students that we have used to be
high not only from an academic point
of view but most importantly from a
‘can do’ attitude. These are students
that want to learn and are not afraid
to get their hands dirty. We have used
the students in the Dubai Duty Free
Tennis, The Rugby 7s and The Asian
Games and have been impressed with
their standards.

Next to selling out top concerts across
the region, lecturing at EMDI has
been one of the greatest and most
encouraging experiences over the last
five years. It has been very rewarding
to be part of the EMDI faculty lecturing to a group of highly
motivated future event managers has
re-confirmed our belief in the industry
and its regional developments. There
is never a dull moment at EMDI - it
has been great to lecture to what I
hope will be many future colleagues
and event managers.
EMDI provides a much needed and
extremely valuable resource for new
talent. Through a very structured
approach, EMDI exposes students to
many areas of the industry, equipping
them with a very broad knowledge of
both technical and practical aspects
of event planning, production and
management. HQ has recruited EMDI
students for both temporary and full
time positions, with great success.

I have always been impressed by the
enthusiasm and energy displayed by
the students at EMDI, and have been
proud to play a small part in their
development in the last few years.
They always approach my
presentation with curiosity and
interest, and I believe that in many of
them, I am addressing the leaders of
tomorrow.
What EMDI lacks in size compared to
universities, it makes up for in its
enthusiasm and professionalism.
I have always enjoyed their
collaborative approach which allowed
the best professionals in the business
to have an impact not only during the
lectures but also in planning the best
possible curriculum These guys & girls
are the future professionals and will
play a key part in shaping the path of
the communication industry.

I am delighted to support EMDI in
their determination to improve the
standards of training and
professionalism in Dubai. The beauty
of their courses is that they are
vocational and equip young people
for long-term careers in their chosen
profession, whether it be in
journalism, PR or events organizing.
The balance of classroom learning
and internships enables students to
embark on mastering life skills as well
as academic achievements - and in
my opinion, that’s a true sign of a
rounded education.
