President’s Message Ye a r i n Re v i e w 2015 was an impressive year for the company on many fronts. Most importantly, our company continued its sterling safety performance with industry leading safety metrics for EMR and recordable/incident rates all while self performing some of the industry’s most challenging heavy civil projects. Our continuing ability to compete and successfully execute projects in all types of market segments sets us apart. This year was especially exciting to see the resounding success of the Ameren Illinois River’s project work and the successful completion (3 months ahead of schedule) of Terre Haute Wastewater Treatment Plant Additions & Improvements, the largest project in company history. I am exceedingly thankful for the exceptional group of individuals that make up the Plocher team. Thank you to the clients and stakeholders that allow us the opportunities to display our talents and our outstanding family of employees for safely executing the challenging work. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Our work volumes matched the high amounts from recent years with revenues approaching $100MM. Although Plocher has never been focused on being a “large company”, our modestly sized staff’s continuing successful execution of this large backlog is a true illustration of what makes our company special. The year was highlighted by our ongoing work on the exciting Ameren Illinois River’s transmission line projects. Our crews tackled complicated worksites and constantly changing conditions throughout central Illinois all while working in a safe and efficient manner. The company started two five story signature office/retail building projects, completed the westbound bridge replacement on I70 at Vandalia, and successfully finished the $116MM Terre Haute WWTP. Through it all, the Plocher team continued to reinforce our reputation as the contractor of choice for the most challenging projects our industry has to offer.
